Those who don't quite get how fucked up the pictures of the abuse of POWs is simply don't know how to win a war.
We want the insurgents to surrender; but who the fuck would surrender knowing that they will be treated like this?

The insurgents have no choice now but to continue to fight.

The whole shit was petty on the US soilders side because these
moron Iraqis they captured don't have any fucking information worth a shit. Anything they knew when captured had surely changed in a few hours. War is not static!!
Command units don't sit in the same place all fucking day, much less a whole year later.

Fucking with the prisoners was a waste of time...they didn't show us were the WMD are or even where Sadam was because they didn't fucking know! Lowly soilders get information on a "need to know basis" and therefore never know anything that's important. Trying to interogate morons with no information is just as stupid as being the morons.

Forget about "what they deserved"...yadda yadda....The whole thing was just dumb!

My father fought in the Korean War when he was in his 20's. He stayed in the Army Reserves (part time) afterwards for his entire life and eventually rose to the rank of Colonel and was high up in the Selective Service which handles the draft and related recruitment issues.

I remember after Vietnam ended he used to say the quality of the people that were enlisting in the army was degrading really bad and the DoD was getting concerned that down the road it would become a significant problem and lead to the overall deterioration of our forces.

Looks like that might be the case now.

I think that it's pretty bad how the US soldiers are there to regain political rest, and they all worked their asses off to get Saddam out of power for doing the same sort of stuff that the US soldiers are doing now???
What was the point of telling Iraqis that "we're here to help you" and then turn around and piss on them?
These photos and abuse that the Soldiers have been envolved in makes them as low as the vagrent that they just captured.
