21 Grams with Sean penn? SUCKED! I hate movies that jump all over the time line like that.

Man shows how clueless you really are. 21 Grams got several academy nominations and was one of the best movies ever made with stellar acting performance from several of the Oscar nominated/winning actors. Get a clue..

Van Helsing was great, non stop action, you just need to love that kind of movie though, like someone said in another thread, if you like the mummy and underworld then you'll like van helsing, if you are more into movies like amelie then this is not for you :) :2 cents:

I was hearing from people on this board that it was a 'great' movie, and I was on the fence about seeing it, but I have a hard time believing it could be 'great' because it's coming from the same guy who directed 'The Mummy' and it's shitty sequel.

And this is going to be the case as well with 'The Day After Tomorrow.' All effects, nothing else.

yeah im with you on that one. The first Charlie Angels was pretty good but the 2nd one was horrible.

Well I hated the Mummy but I loved Underworld, the thing I consistenly hear about this movie Van Helsing is the effects are great, the story is bogus and goofy, the directing is also very weak, which is why I thought Mummy sucked. I will probably still see it on DVD though.

It's not 100% accurate but it gives you a very good idea if the movies is good or bad
Don't see anything that is rated under 6. If it is rated between 6 and 7, you decide. And anything rated over 7 is worth seeing, and anything rated over 8 is a must-see for all.

I am obsessed with monster movies, and was excited for this one when I first heard about it, but after seeing several previews I just can't convince myself to bother. This should have been an R-rated thing with all the famous movie monsters tearing people (and eachother?) apart. A monster apocalypse. Directed more like the 'Blade' series or a more classical version of 'Freddy vs Jason' (lol). These are horror icons! Instead it looks aimed at young kids with overprotective parents, and the CGI looks like a video game. Dracula/Frankenstein/Wolfman were perversions, as twisted as it got back in those days.. more than simpleminded childrens adventure stories.

Mona Lisa Smile -- I almost divorced my wife to dragging me to that piece of shit, I fucking hate anything with Julia Roberts anyways (except Flatliners was decent). She is, without a doubt the worst horse-faced actress on the planet.
