So I went across the street and took some pics today

And I kept thinking to myself "jeeze, some people pay good money to have vacations like this."

I am so happy I moved here :glugglug

I was only down there for about 30 mins though, as I have work to do. But I enjoyed it.

I bet the real reason you came back was because you were freezing your balls off.

WarChild 05-08-2004 09:56 PM

Yay .. a few months of good weather, followed by 8 months of shitty rain.

Vancouver sucks ass :ak47:

I was down at English Bay today and it was amazing. Nothing like a few beers on a patio with good friends.

:thumbsup

Which Vancouver club will be the scene of an Asian/Indian shoot out this weekend, I wonder?

Dawgy 05-08-2004 09:59 PM

You can visually judge the temperature of water in a picture? You're good.

Anyway, that's the Pacific Ocean.. it's always cold. Particularly in the spring before it gets a chance to warm up, so technically you'd be right... that water is pretty frigid.

But it was nice and warm out of the water :thumbsup

I agree, any webmaster that's been in town for a convention and walked down Robson Street a few times would agree with you too :thumbsup

Good point, but it's like that in most major metropolitan areas, Vancouver is quite tame actually compared to alot of other cities.

EviLGuY 05-09-2004 12:25 AM

Wow a rare sunny day in Vancouver. :thumbsup

I think the rain is a misconception. We have a few bad weeks in march and november, and that's about it. The last month has been gorgeous. This summer we'll probably break another record for consecutive dry days, and there'll be water shortage warnings again, just like last year, and the year before, and the year before...

cayne 05-09-2004 07:03 AM

really some nice pics.
there is everything grey in grey.

any place on the coast has rain.. NYC has more than Seattle..Florida it rains almost everyday at some point and time.

I like the fact that everyone thinks it never stops raining up here in the Pacific North West.. keeps alot of assholes from moving here.....:glugglug

Can't wait to visit Vancouver ...havent made it up there yet.:glugglug

samuel 05-09-2004 08:16 AM

That was one of the smaller starfish... and yes, it was huge. It was about twice as big as my hand.

They gather in large groups in the shadier parts of the wet side of the rocks after the tide has moved out. It's pretty neat, and gross to see :)

Actually, there was a shooting at The Drink last night. Some guy got shot multiple times. Don't know if he will survive.
