Finally saw "Kill Bill" volume II

They should just stop it right now and give Uma Thurman the 'Oscar' for Best Actress.

They should just shut down everything right now and give it to her.

I really enjoyed this movie no-end. The first vol was like a comic look at 'The Bride' but this volume was a real story worth telling.

Basically a good summer western.

Everybody did an awesome job of acting especially David Carradine. Showed he still has the stuff. Smooth and cool. Madsen, Hannah, all did awesome, awesome jobs.

Funny when it was supposed to be, scary when it was supposed to be, suspenseful when it was supposed to be.

So good I kept my ticket stub.

When 'I' keep a ticket stub you KNOW the movie was good.

don't tell me what happens.

Stomped 05-08-2004 07:35 PM

Its an excellent movie, too bad it was splitted in two parts..

You know people have a hard time watching 3-4 hour movies.

Would be confusing too with Tarantino's backwards movie style...

DR_PHIL 05-08-2004 07:43 PM

This one, even though it was a continuation of the first one, seemed like a differnet type of movie, at least stylewise.

In the original one, you had more of the Brian DePalma-esque split screen shots, along with other things such as the squirting blood, that really made the film unique and fun.

Volume two was great, but the first one was better.

:2 cents:

It was a good movie. Not at ALL like the first one really.. whole different feel, but I still really enjoyed it.

Everything about this movie was great!!! I love Quentin Tartanio's directing style. He knows how to make his films unique and stand out from the rest.

Can't wait to have Volume 2 in my DVD collection.

Anyone else hear their would be a volume 3 made later on?

TweetyBird 05-09-2004 01:29 PM

He is supposedly going to have the black girl that witnessed Uma killing her mother in the first episode come back for revenge when she's grown up.

Stomped 05-09-2004 01:42 PM

I´ve readed the original script of Kill Bill.
It seems than Tarantino wanted to make one movie style but later decided to edit it in two differents movies styles: the first one is like Asian tribute and the second is Spaghetti Western Tribute (but with much more Tarantino´s dialogues) Thats why I love them both, the second have more realistic violence and Non-Style footage with badly taken in-scene music (Seal of the style of Tarantino).
