How about an Apology to Prisoners in the USA?
 

Im not talking about abuse from one inmate to other im talking about guards abusing prisoners, how about treating americans in jail at least like iraqis?

There is definitely a problem with the treatment of inmates in our jail system. Yeah, most of them are guilty but you won't rehabilitate anyone by stomping his gourd with your jackboots.

like thatguy who was released after 15 years of imprissoment and dna showed he was NOT guilty.

How about more concern about the victims of the prisoners alleged crimes in US prisons.

The majority of people in prison are there for a reason.

If you create the impression that prison is nice safe place to be you'll only have more people committing crimes.

Not saying that at all. Just that the first concern should always be prioritized for the victims vs. the perpetrators.

I think they should protect inmates from each other too. Alot of people think of prison as a place where just all these scumbags go, but the majority of them are minor drug offenders or something "not too bad" like that. Sure they deserve to do the time, but they're placed right alongside the hardened criminals who won't think twice about reaming out some guy who got busted buying some pot.

I think its safe to say many of us would welcome the abuse to certain criminals convicted of heinous crimes like child killing etc.

But the truth of the matter is no CO should have the right to abuse any prisoner. Regardless of how small the percentage is of prisoners that can actually be rehabilitated abuse will certainly kill the process.
