Howard Stern's site getting 15 million hits per day
 

The hosting company (DreamTank) has said that the new politcal website www.Howardstern.com is getting anywhere from 8 to 24 million hits a day.

Even with your numbers, it's still pretty neat that he is not selling anything but our thoughts. They guy has balls and is talented.

hits means nothing, pageviews and unique mean something.

Jim and Mark from Dream Tank were on this mornings show talking about the site, pretty cool. Its just to bad I don't get up that early to have listened to it.

I know 2 days ago when Howard had Carmen Cass on his show, it bumped my traffic up 11k more hits than usual. I never heard of her before then but she was one of my keywords.

So thanks Howard for the extra dough I made that day :thumbsup

Howard's web guy is giving him bad information (either because he doesn't know better or because he's messing with him).

As someone who has had a website that's been plugged by a nationally syndicated radio show every day for years, I'll tell you that Howard is not getting that many uniques.

He's between 150,000 and 200,000 a day... maybe.

If I was howard, i'd plug my site every day and let my radio shows be played on my site....Get some high level advertising on there and when the FCC fucks with him, he could go "underground" on the internet, say whatever the fuck he wants to say, and still make boatloads of money....

They're all rich anyway...He might not make as much as he makes on TV right now but hell, the internet will surpass regular television and radio one day...He should get started now.

Hits = Probably number of page views or object loaded (if a page got 15 images average and he gets 1 million page views a day that would make 16 million hits) ...

It's probably big but we get about 5 million page viewed a day on a local website (chatting site) . It's nothing too big

Well, he'd certainly be TIRED. Radio show message boards are ten times more ruthless than any other boards...simply because there's a chance you could get your name mentioned on the air if you are enough of an asshole

...then you have to worry about the host getting all pissed off because some personal information made it up onto the site.

it's more of a hassle than it's worth.

i can tell you this alexa is far off from the truth, noone uses there tool bar they just estimate and do poor job at that.

they show my site loseing ground but the traffic doubles almost everymonth

i had a kobe site doing 12 mil pageviews daily and it was only ranked 2000

idiot.
