As a content provider who spends more time marketing than he does shooting, got a team who shoot for me, I can say the best clients come from recommendation, then from some boards, then from resource listings.

Advertising on some boards worked and others a dismal failure. I think you have to look at the make up of the members posting and the type of threads to get a feel for what would work where.

Charly Ynotmasters and Aultchamber I have found the best for content providers to advertising with.

The rest are good for branding but I think you would get more bang for your buck if you posted more.

All my biggest sales are word of mouth.

We look to our models.

All 170+ of them.

Resolute shoots new boys (and even now some girls and trannies) every week.

We are a vertically integrated operation.

I agree with Charly, buy from who you know or from someone you've gotten a recommendation for. There are a lot of content providers out there, and as is true with any business, especially adult, there are a lot of scams and people who aren't as honest as you'd like.

Avoid trouble and go with people who have good references

I usually start with ounique.
Then a few providers I've used in the past, if nobody has what I'm looking for I'll go to ynotmasters and xbiz to see what they have in their resources.

I'm with charly, if you can afford to, its always better to shoot your own content or have someone shoot it for you. This way you build equity in your product, which you can sell one day. Not to mention you produce something that is origional and will make money! Yes ask around, most good production companies do not advertise.
