madonne.... i checked out Kazza K++ for a minute - looks too scary these days to bother with it. Who sells Photoshop and Illustrator cheap online? I don't need docu-ment-ation, so OEM versions are fine if they have them.

You can always just download the trial and use Paradox's patch on it which turns it into the full version.

I get email spam every day now for OEM versions of popular software like Photoshop, really cheap, I don't know if it's legit software or just warez. Seems shady to me.

Paradox's patch code is clean. He even has the 8.01 update patch.

Cheapest way to buy a LEGAL copy of any abobe product is to buy the OEM version from ebay or whatever, and then amazon.com for the CS update. :)

I think you're not allowed to buy oem copies, but aside from that it's fully legal and you'll get the software quite cheaply.

I wouldn't bother with the emails.
I personally bought an obsolete OEM copy (very old version of photoshop, I think 5) from a computer store for $50 and then updated it to 7, and later to CS. :)
Total price would be like $250.

why is it illegal to buy OEM versions? might be illegal to sell them but the buyer can't be blamed. If you go to a computer parts distributor and get their catalog I think you will see OEM bundled software packages.

wonder what the % is for registered versions of Photoship versus cracked. maybe 20% of all Photoshop installations are paid for?

I never feel bad for Adobe, it's always been part of their marketing strategy to make their products easy to crack, they get people hooked on their products, make them the industry standard, Photoshop is to photo editing like Kleenex is to tissues, they know a decent percentage of people will buy the product eventually.

i'm downloading the trial Photoshop CS now. Is Image Ready still part of Photoshop? Hope so. I wish they'd stop messing with Photoshop, or at least make available old versions. PS 6 is good enough for me.
