my #1 sponsor averages me $20.29 a sale. Is that good?
I'm 100% sure they dont shave me but is $20.29 good or is that not great?
Its rev share (obviously) and not pps and I send them lots of traffic. Is that a dollar good number these days? |
looks good to me, but how often do you make a sale ?
|
if you have good conversions... Yes!
|
This is not much really
You'd make more with us and with many other sponsors as well |
if it converts well enough, you should keep it
|
It is not good, you can make 35 bucks asale with per signup, why use revshare if yuo make around $20 per signup with that.......you should be able to make more from each signup since they should reccur for months......

How much does that come out to per unique hits?
|
Sounds alright to me, If you are making more then a true 20 bucks on every single sale.
|
That really depends on how long you have been sending the joins. It should go up the longer you are with the program.
The start of the 4th month should start to show good returns, by month 6/7 you could see the joins starting to be as much as $40 on average. The price of the site makes a difference as well. $20 isn't bad.. If you are converting lets say 1:100 and when you advertise someone else that pays $35 and you convert 1:200 then you are doing good :) |

the ratio is around 1:50. |

about 16 months
ratio is around 1:50 They send me the largest check, but I have other sponsors who average $40/sale, but it's hard for me to get a sale with them so the checks are a fraction of my #1 sponsor. |
If you get good convertion ratios, it sounds good.
|
Sounds good.
I believe Topbucks pays about $27.50 per revshare sale. They recurr pretty well too. I have been meaning to send them more traffic for a while. |
20$ on 1:50 is great.

You may want to look how often they update the paysite if you are wanting to improve your retention, maybe talk to the site owner. If you are converting better with them, and doing $20 a join on average then no way in hell any flat rate program could keep up. |

It's a middle of the road niche, like mature or anal. From the responses I guess I'm doing average to good, so I'm happy. |
The pay doesn't really matter. If they pay out a dollar and you convert 1:1 its all gravy.

$20 * more than 1 month = more cash |

The one thing I notice is gallery webmasters normally earn $2-8 less per join on average but can send the most joins. While targeted niche webmasters earn $2-8 more per join on average and normally send less joins. The cleaner they qualify the traffic before it hits the paysite the better it seems to retain. I still get recurring checks from Ibill on a sponsor I used over 3 years ago. Recurring programs own flat rates if you just wait it out. |
This is why the advice I give is not worryinghow much $ you make per signup. Setup an outgoing click counter and see which brings you the largest earnings per outgoing click (granted with revshare, this will take longer to measure).
A revshare program can make you a lot of money or it can just be a waste of your traffic. Personally, I split between revshare and per signup and try to keep a happy balance of both. With revshare you want to ensure the site is unique and doesn't just have the same old generic content. If you're sending to per signup, it doesn't matter as much because you got paid upfront. You should look at revshare as sort of a partnership. So it's oimportant to know what your partner is doing. I personally like revshare programs that aren't run by "professional corporations". They generally do better if the owner has a true interest in the niche. I've seen plenty of big player sponsors with niche sites and it's obvious they have no clue about the niche. |

I really don't want to read all this useless replys.....
The answer is simple.... it doesn't matter if you get $20 per sale or $100 per sale... all what matters is the $/click. |

In my personal experiences, and people I know personally who are webmasters usually have way better conversions with revshare programs. Seems alot of times sites that are similar and you would think would do about the same say one is PPS and the other is revshare, I am willing to bet 99% of the time the revshare is gonna convert better, usually 2 times better.
Many things I am sure contribute to this, PPS sponsors may scrub harder to keep fraud down, or could just be shaving, another reason is most PPS programs are the big guys and are over used. |
