there are a couple schools on thought on the marketing aspects of a scrolling index page.

true, you will get more 2nd page hits if you don't scroll.

but let's suppose that you have a very niche website, and within your visitor section you have lots of high quality sample content that will only appeal to that niche, and this content is heavy, BW wise.

then it makes sense to scroll your index page---so that the surfer is forced to wade through some stuff (qualifying stuff) before he clicks the enter button. this increases your conversion ratio.

This is the second page. I should have been more clear on that. I will have a splash/warning/enter/qualifying page on the main url, and when the surfer clicks to enter he/she will go to this page. From this page they will go to a join page.

abyss, he was kinda joking with me. This is the concept she chose to go with for the site release. A re-design will happen in a couple of months. We are not completely done with this concept, just out of ideas to the point where we wanted some professional outside opinions.

We still need to optimize. We are on a 6mbit connection, so it's kinda hard to judge the DL speed. We have asked some other people to try it and they have said it is OK but they are on DSL and cable at 1.5 down.

I like it you jsut need to optimize your pics though or get better hosting. It took a while for all the picturees to load. Nice body and very cute though.

Good start. Whichever of the two designs above you use, I would recommend at least one larger face/personality pic to replace one of the T&A shots. :2 cents:
