WARNING: Fraudulent Affiliates -- SPONSORS SHOULD READ

I am so fucking sick of frauding affiliates. We get too many sign ups to notice sometimes but we just recently busted the following people (fuck them -- our privacy policy dictates that we can post your info any where we want if you fraud/cheat):

People should go their sites and make sure their banners are not there.

That is hard to do when you are a large-ish program. Guess it's just time to hire a full time fraud review person. This kinda shit makes chargebacks really high too...

Donnie Gangsta 05-06-2004 06:00 AM

bumping this.. people should know.

ControlThy 05-06-2004 06:32 AM

Just wondering what country they are from....?

Spunky 05-06-2004 06:33 AM

Hmmm...good to know

hydro 05-06-2004 06:42 AM

i know alot of sponsors are now calling all new affiliates to verify thier information. If they dont have a valid working phone number to be contacted at then you shouldnt allow them to promote your program. Only a carder would be afraid of handing over his real information. While the legit webmasters have probably submitted thier person information to at least 20 sponsors by now :1orglaugh

If you want to lie, make it somewhat believable.

Absolutely, fuckers like that need to be stopped, and when they are stupid enough to do shit like that and live in the US or Canada then the Secret Service must be contacted...

TheFrog 05-06-2004 08:59 AM

fucking scammers :BangBang:

SABAI 05-06-2004 10:09 AM

well, sponsors like purecash are screening their affilites , its a little a pain in the ass when you are really in a hurry to start promoting a sponsor but i can understand why they do so on per signup. but lets not forget the errors , i've been kicked out of EC because their biller told them i did some sort of fraud , wich people who know me know that its not true. some mistake happens and i hope you have strong evidence before outing them out.
still people cheating on their sponsors are hurting the whole industry and they should have their dicks spread with honey and attached to a red ants nest

Canada is more a suburb of the U.S. than a third world country.

Rictor 05-06-2004 11:30 AM

By the way, I know a lot of third worlders in this biz. They outnumber U.S. webmasters, I believe. Most of the successful ones you will never know where they are from though, as they have a U.S. address redirecting their mail/checks and they have a U.S. address on their domains, etc.

ztik 05-06-2004 11:32 AM

We've been getting a bunch of those lately. Not just from 3rd world countries, about 35% of them were in the USA.
