HIV+ performers: whats next? prostitution, suicide ...

well another perfomer positive and I predict in the next coming weeks we will see more ..

now allot of these pornstars are drug addicts, come from fucked homes, been raped, molested, fucked childhoods or upbringings, etc etc ..

what will these HIV+ performers do now? turn to the streets?

having done porn does not open up allot of doors.
the last girl (26 years old )we shot - when she filled out the model release i've seen grade 2's with better spelling and i'm serious.

if your on drugs(not saying all performers are), in porn and now HIV+ , that could lead to a serious state of depression or just being HIV+ for that matter ..

i would not be surprised if not today but down the road one of these performers takes the easy route out - suicide solution.

any thoughts on their future?

hopefully these ppl won't feel that their lives are so small that they'll resort to anmything that drastic..Hopefully they have family and friends that they can count on for support. Life does not end after contracting hiv. It's just a matter of how they deal with the situation:2 cents:

btw, Hi Brent!!

AMADude 05-05-2004 10:10 PM

They can work a real job perhaps? It all depends on the girl. They are not all what you described.

I'm hope these people will think more of their future than just the money they will be earning today.

lol, some people might actually think these are the first HIV cases in porn ever.

Hey Odie!:)

i agree that life doesn't end after getting this disease..

but i think a % of performers dont have family/close friends to goto. also i think majority of people that get into that side of the business are not the most stable people
:2 cents:

It just sucks to know that even though people are aware of these diseases, they still don't do anything to protect themselves.

depends.... if they are smart..... course :)

so, why not have two performers that are known to be HIV+ work with each other?

Already happened. John Stagliano and Tricia Devereaux did Buttman's Toy Stories together. She did a solo thing at the beginning and they did a scene together at the end- oral, vaginal, anal and a facial. I guess they wanted to make sure they covered it all. :1orglaugh
