Any Epassporte gurus in the house?

quick and hopefully easy question....

if someone signed up for an epassport account tonight, could they send me cash?

or is there some long verification process?

thanks in advance....back to reading the fine print on the site now...

I believe it has to be verified to pull from their bank account.

Thanks Rick...I kinda figured there would be some verification delay :/

great system but if someone has a hole in their pockets and a need for immediate spending gratification....WU it is....

:thumbsup

Basically when they add a credit card it makes a charge of like a buck or something, and you have to verify how much it is by reading your statement.. some people can get this info online..

Wasnt a problem for me.

They have to add money into there account from the bank normally then you can have the cash instantly or if it's just pulled off the card then they add to your account there is a two week wait for it to clear to prevent chargebacks.

It depends on your bank.

If you are loading with a Visa card and your bank is participating in the VBV authentication process, you can get an account within 5 minutes from which you could send funds to any other ePassporte account holder. Easy.

If you bank is not part of the VBV network, ePassporte employs a different authentication process where a pending charge (that never settles) is placed on your credit card. You can look at your online statement (of if you haven't joined the ranks of the 21st century yet you can call your bank) and obtain the pending amount on your credit card to verify yourself with ePassporte. This would not take you more than a few minutes to do.

Sometimes banks in foreign countries present other challenges due to currency conversions but all in all this is a good system and works very well.

So, the answer is yes, someone should be able to get an account and actually start transferring funds within minutes.

I know when I went through the verification process I was done within 8 minutes and ready to roll.
