Why is Fiber Optic equipment so expensive?
 

I get these catalogs from different companies all the time. ( Fucking Corp Place prob sold the info)

Anyways 25k for a fiber splicing machine?
8k for like a meter?


I should look into this shit...wonder what the markups are on these machines...

Because, it's not that common, Fiber Optic isn't used as much as older technology. Once it really starts going, it'll be cheaper!

because only big fat corps with overinflated budgets would buy it =) just like renting a u-haul to move across the country, it's like $2500 ... but you're gonna pay it anyway, so they bend you over and fuck you in the ass without lube :-)
