Uncrompressed Video is killer and will fill that thing up fast.

I remember my first Hard Drive. Was 40 MB, this was back in the day when most people just played games and most software from their 5.25 disk. Never ever thought I would fill it up.

4Pics 05-04-2004 12:24 PM

Is that 1 HD? or more then one in the box?

Cause I know you can buy a 400gig drive now.

Yes even when you work with compressed video, if you work with a lot of it, you'll fill up quick. Been thru a terrabyte or two here.

doober 05-04-2004 12:26 PM

i could use 10-12 of those right now actually

Basic_man 05-04-2004 12:28 PM

I need 2 of them to host all my downloaded content! :thumbsup

bizmak 05-04-2004 01:08 PM

that's too much space for me

Ash@phpFX 05-04-2004 09:21 PM

this, or something similar was posted about 6 months ago, and its not 1 terrabyte, its less than 91% of a terrabyte

Illicit 05-04-2004 09:24 PM

I want one ! You can never have enough storage. wonder how reliable it is though...

EviLGuY 05-04-2004 09:25 PM

Definitely a cool toy.. I'm good with my 180 GB setup still though.

Strife 05-04-2004 09:26 PM

yikes...need to get me onw of those

Vitasoy 05-04-2004 09:28 PM

I could use a few of those... :)

dnsmonster 05-04-2004 09:29 PM

That thing would look so much more lucrative if it had a fiber channel for data transfer. USB2 might be quick but it's definetly not quick enough.

Bigfuck 05-04-2004 10:13 PM

I'm looking at getting the 300gb version:thumbsup

- Jesus Christ - 05-04-2004 10:15 PM

Rotational Speed (rpm) : 7200
Average seek time (hahahahaha) : 10 ms
On a terrabyte of data?

BUUUUUUULSHIT.....

foolio 05-04-2004 10:38 PM

that would suck ass if it went out on ya

Probability of that thing going out is extremely low, it has RAID5+1 so you'd need 2 out the bunch drives in that thing to die for you to lose any data.
