yea those guys are out of control. I do believe one guy who's spamming ICQ claims to be an owner of the program.

I can't believe this idiot is spamming webmasters to sign up under his ref code after finding their icq on gfy.

Well at first I thought maybe this was the case and they were going to need galleries...that's the only reason I even authorized him.

Why do companies choose to alienate even the smallest percentage of webmasters with tactics like this?

the sad thing tho'...people will probably sign up for them from this thread.

amazing what kind of people we have in this business..and I'm not just referring to the yinfu9's...but those who will still go ahead with their bullshit.

I have been spammed by several of them . . . yinfu9 being the most recent. I will give him credit though . . . at least when I told him I wasn't interested he accepted it . . . . well, at least I think he did. Hard to tell since I deleted him from my list

Ive had three of those icq;s so far .. next one ill take the ref code and post it .. i spent 20 minutes telling him i didnt want to invade my mainstream surfers privacy with anything like dialers or active x installs or bullshit and they kept talking

Everyone seems to cry about spam but most if not all do some form of it in one way or another.
My question to you is: When is it just a sales pitch? After all we are all in business to sell something weather it be yourself , your program or your services.

What is the best way to aproach a webmaster?

If you come to talk to me about your program that's one thing. But for webmasters to come to me on icq pretending they want to talk business only to shoot a referral code to some sponsor that's something else.

If you're a friend that's an entirely different issue.

thats why i use an image for my icq uin :thumbsup . i lost the link but theres this icq spammer that can collect icq's based on the length in digits then spam the people. :(

Complain to their host and to the hosts upstream provider.

Doubt they care.. the owners of the program were doing the same shit to me.

I even gave it a try, but wasn't getting a good download rate so I figured 10 bucks a day isn't worth it.
