this is precisely the problem with drug supporters/users.

You tend to focus on this one thing only. "any entity defining what is legal or illegal to injest."

That's all good and well..... fine, you're some sort of drug freedom fighter. Whatever makes you feel good.

But what they don't see is the fact that they are gambling with their very lives. And I don't mean just risk of overdose. I mean:


You face addiction. You can profess moderation all you want, and hey, that's great.... but if you're using, you face the possibility of addiction. And more people than not get addicted to shit, rather easily. That is the nature of drugs.

You face losing your freedom. Remember, these drugs you love so much are still ILLEGAL. You can justify it with analogys of alcohol and cigarettes all you want, but the fact remains, alcohol and cigarettes are NOT illegal. If you get nailed using LSD, Coke, X, Weed, etc..... you ARE going to jail. And on a side note, the IRS seizes ALOT of cars and homes because of busted drug users. You don't mind giving that up?

The odds are also, if you use consistently, that at least one other person knows about it. Probably more. And the odds are that they use as well. Your risk just increased exponentially. If THEY get nailed, how confident are you that they are going to sell YOUR ass out to save theirs? Again, you risk your very freedom.

Dealers: Okay, so you say you're just an occasional user.... you don't deal. But it's no secret that illegal drug dealers are not exactly the fucking poster boys for your basic upsatnding citizen. Fuck up a deal, or piss one of them off, and you now face losing your life, your families life, or your property. (again)


Tell me again about how drugs are a good thing?

Are you REALLY willing to gamble all of that just for..... what? Because it "feels awesome dude!"

Good message yet the last line is the most important one. Arguing the reasons to use or not to use is about as pointless as trying to get a census on the number of grains of salt in the US.

Every drug is bad in some way, be it legal or for health reasons. Yet I am a firm believer in ones right to choose what they do to their own bodies.

Yes I do think the Government causes more problems with drugs than the actual drugs do, but unfortunatly until the people change that it will remain reality in my eyes.

This is not the place to argue the dthics of drug use. This is a place to exploit women and make money from pictures and videos of them performing sexual acts on men for money.

sending people to jail for taking drugs in circumstances where they are doing no harm to anyone is crazy logic. there are legal drugs around that people take every day that are just as damaging as illegal drugs.. the law isn't working.. people still take these illegal (tax exempt) drugs.. and what's worse is they are not fully educated on them.. they are afraid to ask for help if problems arise from having taken them.. the law banning many substances breeds fear and paranoia among younger people making them criminals some begin to associate and identify with criminals of other persuasions.

Yeah, like getting caught with marijuana will get you time in prison. In some states (i.e., California) you are just cited. In others (Texas), they just take you to county jail (no raping there) and release you and give you a fine.

Sure, it's not a good thing, but I think it is worth it. I am 18, so basically it would be the same as if I were caught with alcohol.

What about people addicted to pain killers and other medication when the doctor knows they are addicted?They are the real killers,they just keep filling out those prescrpitions for their fee to fatten their wallet.They are no differant than the crack dealers.

Ok, first off why the f' do u care what others do with their life? If someone wants to sit around in the privacy of their home and smoke a joint, why in the world do you feal you have the right to tell them they shouldn't do it? I am VERY MUCH against smoking cigs, but as long as someone doesn't do it around me then I wont say it's wrong. I will definitely suggest them not to, and sometimes give reasons, but to straight out tell them they are wrong for doing it is retarded. I have NO right to tell anyone how to live their lives cause I know dam well I have faults in mine. When I don't, then maybe I should try and tell others how too, but it will never happen.

As for risking your life, that's just retarded. Every time you do ANYTHING, your risking your life. Every time you go in a car you at risk of getting in an accident. Anything you do, something COULD happen. People claim they are addicted to Mc D's and that's why their fat, so lets not eat Mc D's?

Seriously, people who are against drugs, that's OK. We all have our own views and opinions, that's why we have free will. Stop trying to tell others how they should live their lives. What works for you, chances are, won't work for others.

It's ironic, there's a few thread about drugs on the front page.
One of my old friends just died this past Sunday morning from an overdose. I always told him that he needs to stop taking those pills ( not only for him but for his three year old son). It finally got to him.
The thing that popped into my head about the whole thing is that after his funeral his friends were going to get together and get fucked up in memory of him. Absolutely Amazing!!!(I thought) Some people will never change, and it's "There Life"

All I will say now is there is a certain kind of personality trait associated with all kinds of "unneeded addictions" as I listed before, a lack of self-control. Because after all, it was their own free will in the situations I'm speaking of (not the prescription addictions). I could care less what people do in their own time, but I want it for references because I won't trust them as far as I can throw them. I've had adventures all over the world taking drugs. I've gotten drunk, stoned and wired and laughed my arse off with people from around the globe while having more fun than I possibly could have had sober.

Do I regret it? No. Never, not in a million years.

Why does taking drugs need to advance me in life, career or financially? I'm where I want to be. I own my own house outright and am in a great relationship.

I've never stolen to support a drug habit. I've never committed one violent act while under the influence of drugs. I've never held up a convenience store and I've never been arrested - for anything.

Basically, I'm a happy person and drugs simply add to my quality of life. I enjoy it and it's nobody elses business.

Still illegal, but in California less than an ounce of marijuana is like a speeding ticket and just like driving 66 in a 65 I am willing to take that risk.
