I find it really amusing and hilarious that most of you think that the female names that post their cute pictures here are actually the models themselves.

Next time you're talking to a chick on here, just ask yourself why an extremely gorgeous hot chick would be spending so much time on a webmaster board such as this. You might also consider the fact that there's a lot of photographers here, with a lot of models, and we can create personalities for anyone. Something you might also want to consider is the fact that models don't really understand this business, or make decisions in this business, so it wouldn't make sense for them to network with us.

LMAO! If you understood how much work it is to run a successful website, then you'd also understand that it doesn't leave a whole lot of time to run around having pillow fights & tickle wars with our girlfriends.

I mostly lurk on this board (as you can tell by how long ago I registered), but I check in every day just to see what's going on with the industry. There's no way you can be successful in the biz without knowing what's going on.

There might be some paid models, but the bulk of us do everything ourselves. I don't even have a photographer.

I see all of your points, however one thing remains to be seen. Most of the girls you see on here holding GFY signs and whatnot are instructed by their photographer to hold the sign. You're usually talking to a photographer, or the webmaster that bought the content. Not the model. Ask yourself what makes more business sense, and what will bring in affliates, and you'll see my point.

It continuosly cracks me up the way people take this attitude that people with gorgeous looks, or money, or whatever would take their time to be on GFY. GFY is a fun place to hang out. You can do a lot of industry networking here. Meet interesting people from all over the US and the world for that matter. Get lots of ideas and keep up with what's hot and what's not working.

Why do you guys make it sound like GFY isn't a worthwhile place so much?

I've ICQ'd with many of the girls here. I do business with many of the girls here also. They are the real deal. You would know instantly if you were talking to guy.

If it hadn't been for the YNOT board for example, I would never have gotten the deal to buy my biggest domain. That's where I first saw a post by Rick years ago and got to know him from that and do biz with him.

Boards in this biz are the best sources of info, the best sources of contacts.

I'm working on a big deal with another major player who I met on GFY right now.

Yeh there are a lot of goofy people here too, but there are some very successful and smart people as well. And certainly some beautiful women.

Sorry if I jumped down your throat. You definitely have a point & I'm sure there are fakes, I just took personal offence since I tend to catch a lot of flack. If it's not for being fake it's for being immediately dismissed as "just a model" & not a real webmaster.

The reason I got hooked on checking in at GFY daily was for the content blowouts. I've definitely spent more money than any networking will make me. :2 cents:
