Don't start playing poker unless you've got a lot of money to burn.

It's easy to go through a grand in a day like its nothing.

I've been playing poker pretty hardcore for the last 3 month's, i'm pretty good at it now but there's just one thing these books never teach you and thats how to get past blind, stupid, unadulterated luck (that people beat you with).

BUT some good books are

Advanced Hold'em (sklansky and malmuth)
The Zen of Poker
Super System
Mike Caro's book of Poker Tells.

ill have to check some of these books out, i was thinking of taking it up recreationally
