I really need to know . . . Do you care?

I find this mildly amusing, but it got me to thinking.

Early this morning I finally got tired of MicroChick (aka Confucy) and I put her on ignore. I did a cut and paste so that she could see that she was on ignore, thinking this would free up some time in her day.

Boy, was I wrong about that. She sent me a very interesting email expressing her outrage that I dare put her on ignore.
Obviously she was angered by the fact that I could do this, which has brought about this question:

If someone voluntarily puts you on their ignore list, do you care? I am not talking about when someone pulls a trick like Smokey used to where people would be added to multiple ignore lists just by reading a thread. If someone voluntarily does it, is it going to ruin your day?

As a secondary question, if you put someone on ignore, do you have the intestinal fortitude to refrain from clicking the link just to see what the ignored person has to say?

Personally, I could care less if someone puts me on ignore, and I never click the link to view the ignored persons post.

Discuss.

women hate to be ignored.

I for one am largely ignored 99% of the time when I post something anyway, so having me on an ignore list makes no nevermind no how anyway.

bad_girl 05-03-2004 01:25 PM

I would actually be flattered if someone put me on ignore, it would only confirm what I already know about myself....

I am a bitch.

I have no idea who she is.

Katlicious72 05-05-2004 12:49 PM

I don't give a fuck. I go to GFY to post whatever comes to my mind. No one ever quotes me anyway so I say what I feel, I could give a fuck who has me on their ignore list, I come to GFY to get my daily funny and chuckles. Fuck who doesn't read mine.

TheFrog 05-05-2004 12:49 PM

You can send, but since you don't really know me there's not much to compliment on. :winkwink:

I can only go by what Jenn tells me

sumphatpimp 05-05-2004 06:27 PM

I love the Ignore feature. I really do. Before you Ignore you must read what I or someone else has posted. So what are you doing? You are telling me that you have read my post. Its nice being loved and wanted, and most of all read. Please Ignore me I need the attention. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

If I don't like what you post I just won't read it thats all, I don't need an Ignore feature to do that.

Boards are fun.

Spunky 05-05-2004 06:31 PM

Nope,couldn't care less

C_U_Next_Tuesday 05-05-2004 06:34 PM

Is there a way to find out if you are on some ones ignore list?

I have a couple people on ignore.. and i do occasionally click on their post to see what they had to say anyhows...sometimes its good..

reynold 05-05-2004 06:39 PM

It doesn't feel so good being put on ignore. If you don't like the person, why not tell it straight to him/her instead? Talk it out!

ArikaAmes 05-05-2004 06:53 PM

I wouldn't care in the least bit, especially not enough to go off on someone. I think I would rather have some one just put me on ignore rather than going off on me everytime I posted.
I, myself, have 2 or 3 on the ignore list:thumbsup

i would be forced to kill myself if you put me on ignore

SureFire 05-05-2004 07:11 PM

Smokey The Bear put a few people on my ignore list. I clicked.

MicroChick (aka Confucy) amuses me so I read her posts but would put her on ignore and block her emails if she (or anyone) would take it off the boards. :glugglug

We don't agree on much but I'm with you on this.

Nicky 05-05-2004 07:19 PM

I dont care for shit if someone puts me on ignore......their loss :glugglug

ModelPerfect 05-05-2004 07:27 PM

Not really. The guys "ignoring" you wouldn't be very likely to do biz with you anyway, nor would they be supportive of your posts. So therefore, it's actually to your benefit to be ignored by them, or at the worst inconsequential. I would, however, be curious how I pissed them off to be actively ignored.

Illicit 05-05-2004 09:07 PM

rats ass in a land slide !

Exactly how I feel! :thumbsup

I'd like to know why I was put on ignore. Then maybe I can avoid making the same mistake again in the future.
