Observation :: the diff between men and women when scared

I was out and about today with the wife . and messing about as usual - scared the shit outta her in the main street of our town - she SCREAMED HER HEAD OFF uncontrolably and her knees buckled - i laughed my head off

tonight she got her own back snuck up on me and scared the shit outta me .. i got angry and shouted at her to get the fuck out ..

shes not talking to me lol .. but what is it that makes us react so differently to women .. anyone ??

has anyone experienced this

maybe she normally fears you, so when you put extra effort into it, she gets really terrified.

i always put that effort in ;) .... naw she reacts that way when anyone scares her .. and so does my sister

well, we are all equipped with the 'Fight or Flight' mechanism for situations like that, but in this case, it doesn't seem to apply.

1st incident:

'Fight or Flight' doesn't appear to have surfaced here, but rather she was paralyzed with fear and unable to react properly to it. More importantly, her reaction sounds IN the moment, as in, what she did the moment she was scared.

2nd incident:

This may sound like 'Fight or Flight' in the description, but your anger came after the moment of your being scared. This is the difference between what you described for her, and what you described for yourself. Yes, they are different reactions, but they also occured at a different time in the sequence, so they are not comparable. What was your reaction at the MOMENT you were scared? Did your eyes bug out? Did you freeze up? Were you unable to speak?

The anger and yelling came AFTER your initial reaction to being scared, probably because once you realized there was nothing to be scared of, you felt foolish and became angry at THAT, rather than actually angry with HER.

Or, there is the condensed GFY version of that answer: You're probably gay & you live in a trailer.
