Ever read the side of a pill bottle & it said every 4-6 hours.
 

They say it for a reason, & i just found out the hard way, i let mine go for more than 4 hours without taking a dose & my pain got way out of hand, like, almost screaming in agony bad, but i couldn't have screamed if i wanted to.

It seriously felt like someone had taken a rusty knife to my throat & slit it methodically & on purpose while i was sleeping.

The pain moved from just the surgical area to my ears, & my jaw now & i'm waiting for my medicine to kick in. I fear that it may not be enough & i may now have to see the doctor again tomorrow for a booster shot just to make it through the day.

Relying on synthetic opiods to manage pain scares the shit out of me, its how some of my favorite musicians & actors first got turned onto them, & eventually killed them. I can only pray this pain goes away quickly & never comes back again, & that my willpower after my treatment will send me straight to an N/A meeting afterwords to remind myself that this treatment is not a game to be taken lightly.

I'm now on my third bottle of lortab elixir, which for those of you who are not familiar is 7.5mg of vicodin / 500mg of tylenol, but my doctor instructed me to take slightly more for my pain, although i try to stick just to 7.5 every 4 hours to manage the breakthrough, trust me, it does nothing to stop the pain, it only manages it, to the point where i can sip on sweet tea. Any other liquid is too light to be swallowed, or burns going down.

There are no more nurses with morphine, & i have to drive 45 minutes to my doctors in order to get a booster shot of steroids & demerol.

So i'm only able to drink chic fila brand sweet tea (crazy shit), and when dinner comes around i can have chicken broth. And if im feeling especially good, i can manage to take down some soupy tapioca or oatmeal that is pre-blended.

Absolute insanity here!

Hmmm.. For us who aren't up to date. What happened to you man? I red a post earlier where you opened up, hard to comment anything since I have no idea what's going on. Something nasty I'm sure, but aside from that.. I'm clueless as usual.

I was suffering from several medical problems which left me pretty much useless, apparently alot of them were caused by not getting enough oxygen to the brain (roughly 45%) of an average adult, so they had to remove all non vital organs this past week from my throat.

This is a first of a series of operations to re-open the oxygen freeway. The next will fix a deviated septum, & the one after will break my jaw & reset it centimeters foward to finish the job.

mine says, "DO NOT TAKE MORE THAN ONE PER DAY. DO NOT FORGET TO TAKE YOUR MEDICATION. DO NOT STOP TAKING YOUR MEDICATION"

and lots of other scary stuff.

Damn. That has got to suck. Sorry to hear that.

a lot of people conserve their pain medication and this will get you into trouble.

The reason being is while taking it as prescribed you get to a "therapuetic" level...a level of the drug in your blood stream making it most effective.

Once you start lapsing on the pills the pain starts to take over, your therapuetic blood level has dropped and it takes a while to get back to that point...and in the mean time the pain is so overwhelming you almost need double the dose.

That looks like it burns really bad, mine is just pure white & looks like mush, i can't eat anything with a sugar coating or anything on it like that. :( Not for another week.

oh man i can't wait to get back on my aktins diet, i was losing mad weight & eating steak like crazy!, probably 2-3 weeks to be extra safe.

If the scabs fall off my tounsels i could end up bleeding to death so i gotta take it real easy, so im just eating blended everything.

Yesterday we went to a place that's like 10 miles away from here just to eat some tapiocas. I got mine with cheese, coconut and condensed milk on top. But it wasn't like this one I posted, it was like
