Isnt that what past billing companies have done, and what most current ones are in the process of doing?

aye

SiMpLe 05-03-2004 11:11 AM

This is exactly why I went for the 1st option to simply get paid out - Still lost 6 figures from them but my hosting was paid for a month hehe.

Now all those people that went for the 2nd option in hopes to get all their money +10% are fucked with no money at all. That's pretty harsh and I feel bad for them.

Yes that's what all past billing companies have done. And that's why you have to choose carefully of who you choose!

Paul Markham 05-03-2004 11:23 AM

Isn't it reassuring that Visa and the banks are so careful about who they allow to process for them. *turn off sarcasm*

doober 05-03-2004 11:26 AM

so does this mean they arent going to pay me??

Thats a fucking shoker, goddamed fucking thieves

KMR Stitch 05-03-2004 11:29 AM

I am glad I didn't use them

WarChild 05-03-2004 11:32 AM

What I never understood was how Website Billing was able to clearly lie to customers, right up to the day they went out of business. "Everything is fine, keep billing you'll get paid soon".

Then BAM out of business. Doesn't that constitute fraud?

That's got to be the worst one yet because so many webmasters did pay the $750 & still got fucked.

directfiesta 05-03-2004 01:28 PM

And all these billers requires " reserve fund" in case we would " defraud " them ... lol

Also, just try to figure out how much " affiliate " money they took off from the paysite owner and never eemitted because under a certain treshold ( 50.00 minimum ) ...

That is not quite true. Epoch/Paycom does not require a reserve.

Jeez what? Maybe those ppl who got fucked did use MPA...When globill was their nr1 or even nr2 nr3 etc, you can have a big loss...Or does MPA pay for me for the the money lost on Globill?

Andre

EviLGuY 05-03-2004 02:45 PM

they fucked me for a few grand as well..

I never got a letter though.

GonePhishing 05-03-2004 02:57 PM

Yeah, this one should really come as no surprise. I just don't know why it took them so long to finally declare bankruptcy.

zzgundamnzz 05-03-2004 02:58 PM

Damnit, not again  I'll probably be getting one soon too :(

FreeOnes 05-03-2004 03:09 PM

Same with Acpay, Fuck i'd love to meet cormac in a back alley.

JoeA 05-03-2004 05:36 PM

Pipecrew..

What's wrong with AC/EGS Pay.. I'm still getting checks for members who are re-billing.... If you're not, I suggest you contact AC.. They have done what no other processor has when closing down.. Continued to pay us re-bills !!!

All we lost were a few days of new sign up's and the pain of informing all the affiliates to move over to CCBill, who I was with before AC Pay/EGS came along and ran the affiliate programme with as well anyway.....

bizmak 05-03-2004 06:27 PM

Bankruptcy is a BITCH

Andre

Simple answer - if you suspect that ONE of your processors are not doing too well, then you switch them over to be #3 in your cascade - hence limiting your losses significantly IF they turn belly up.

Or not to mention that you do spread your risk over multiple processors.

If you had seen what I have seen of customers coming to us AFTER they have lost ALL their rebills to one processor going under you would understand too.

:2 cents:

PS. We got MULTIPLE requests to add GloBill into MPA2 but chose not to way back when...

skrog 05-03-2004 08:15 PM

I got that letter today. It reminded me of how much money I never got from them.

synergysex 05-03-2004 09:20 PM

Oh come on folks, talk is cheap. Put out a contract on someone already!

Honeyslut 05-03-2004 10:41 PM

I wrote it off on my taxes

RicardoB 05-04-2004 12:26 AM

That sucks hard!

But be honest is this such a suprise to you all?

Let's face it you should have seen this coming a mile away from the time they gave you 2 options.

Fuck me once shame on you
Fuck me twice shame on me

Trax 05-04-2004 12:52 AM

Jon 05-04-2004 12:59 AM

Yet another reason why I love being on the Traffic end of the business, and not the content providing end. Sorry to hear for your losses guys.

Yea I thought that too. It says GloBill LLC on the back side and their personal names on the front.

Observing 05-05-2004 02:40 AM

Doesnt say Globill anywhere on mine..... and I really looked :)

shermo 05-05-2004 02:43 AM

I got mine yesterday. Apparently I must have had a few bucks laying around in there. I should have written it off last year. Oh well!

No use crying over spilled milk. :glugglug

samuel 05-05-2004 02:48 AM

Well, it's true what we have expected since some days ago to happen... globill is out of bussiness... who will pay the money owed by them to WMs?

body 05-05-2004 03:56 AM

Got it too :glugglug

DeadFidel 05-05-2004 04:11 AM

This is Funny!
Also got the mail. BUT BUT. I was lucky to use them as a back up
right before they lost it.
I only had 4 sign ups. One was a refund because they could not get access, and then 2 chargebacks for the same reason.
So technically I owe them $47.55

:1orglaugh Now should I send the check?

bopha 05-05-2004 05:55 AM

We got ours too.

rockbear 05-05-2004 08:46 AM

Do you have the letter guys? I would like to see it
