i'm buying the 42 inch sony flat panel lcd for my new place. expensive, but looks to be much, much better than than plasma, and very small in terms of foot print. though like i said, expensive.

Plasma, plasma, plasma! :thumbsup

Well I guess it all depends on your budget and where your TV is going to go...

Projection is awesome if you have the room!

LCD has an incredible picture and the sizes now rival plasmas!

Plasma is dead in my opinion and it's just not feesible anymore... Too many disadvantages... Price, burn-in, no tv tuner, weight

Just my :2 cents:

The Hitachi Ultravision LCD is the best looking display I've seen. The Samsung DLP's are sweet too. But I think you'll have less problems long term with the LCD's from what I've researched.

I have DLP projection and absolutely love it. I'd recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat.

I'd go for LCD!

LCD sounds like the right choice, a friend has a Hitachi projector
picture looks pretty good and the size of the screen is huge.
I only have a "small" home theater room currently it has a 120' rear projection TV (panasonic) in it!

LCD is taking more of the market nowadays, I recommend to anyone who enjoy watching digital definition movies...

if you want to watch:

TV -> just buy a damn CRT television

TV and some movies -> LCD for sure. The new sonys will blow anything away (those 42 inchers)

movies-> projector (I've got a Barco Cine 7, you'll cream your pants)
