NBC's t.v. movie 10.5

Anyone see it? it was 2 hours long and it was actually pretty good for a tv movie. Aside from some hokey graphics and some bad camera shots, it was all in all an ok show. its a 2 parter, the rest airs monday at 9.

Just wondering if anyone else caught it?

pornstar2pac 05-02-2004 09:23 PM

Aside from the simpsons, me either. but this commercial caught my eye since it showed the space needle and golden gate bridge collapse. I dont know why, but i felt the need to watch it. Mainly because I wanted to see what the controversy was over it in the news. They say that movies like this just spread panic. I thought it was good though.

i watched about 2 minutes of it..... the earthquake followed the train tracks......... it even turned with them... it was gay, i turned it when i saw that.

I turned it off when the quake was chasing down the toy train. That had to be some of the worst footage and graphics job I've seen on tv in a long time. Additionally the "24" look to the filming and picture in picture crap was way played out.

Babagirls 05-02-2004 09:27 PM

that was the worst fuckin movie i have ever seen. The only cool part was the San Fran bridge collapsing, and who the fuck hired those actors???? :eek7

Heres a sample (for the ones who missed it, luck you!!)

Dad: I better go see if anyone is still alive!

Daughter: NO!!!

Dad: I have to. What if someone is alive?

Daughter: NO!!!

Dad: Stay up here while I go look.

Daughter: NO!!!

Dad: Just do what i say, will ya?!

Daughter: Did you find anyone yet?

(the dad didnt even start to look for anyone)

omg it was horrible. i ended up watching COPS instead :glugglug

Stupid as fuck and it gave me flashbacks of the Northridge 6.8 which is why I left that state.

You have to be crazy to live on land that's a ticking timebomb like that now.

Yep. Went to LA when I was 20. Lived there for 16 years. First down in Orange County (Laguna Niguel / Newport Beach) then in LA (Marina Del Ray / Sherman Oaks / Woodland Hills / Calabasas).

LA was great in the 70's and early 80's. It got too damn crowded, polluted, too many people from foreign countries, riots, fires, quakes, constant traffic jams, crime, etc. After the big quake rocked my world and they said that wasn't the big one yet, I said, OK that's the sign its time to get the heck out of here.

I really think something on the scale of that movie is going to strike the west coast one day and there is going to be massive destruction and loss of life.

Oh Sheila 05-02-2004 09:43 PM

I've been watching it off and on.. it is SO gay :1orglaugh
