Army Report - CIA & Military Intelligence Encouraged Iraqi Prisoner Abuse
As KRL said, any nation or country with an "intelligence" agency, uses abuse, and terror tactics to get info and or for fun ;)
http://www.voanews.com/article.cfm?o...62305B2A15F567 http://www.voanews.com/mediastore/cb...orture_150.jpg U.S. news media say an internal military investigation has found U.S. Army officers and CIA agents encouraged the abuse of Iraqi prisoners. The report in the latest edition of The New Yorker Magazine says the still-classified investigation found "sadistic, blatant and wanton criminal abuses" at the Abu Ghraib prison. The U.S. Army reserve general in charge of the soldiers accused of abuse, says she suspects the suspects were encouraged by military intelligence. The account appeared to confirm claims by the human rights group Amnesty International that the alleged torture is not an isolated incident. looks like you are right again KRL. :thumbsup |
I'm SO SHOCKED! . ..not
|
How else are they going to get info from prisoners? Saying "please" wouldn't do it :1orglaugh

life sucks
|
anyone really suprised?? American INVADED a country that did NOTHING to them! There are no proven ties with "Al cabob" and see what they do to their prisoners??
What makes america different from the terrorist's they are fighting a "war" against? |
Just because we don't have pictures of the iraqies torturing our POW's doesn't mean its not happening. It's a two way street, get over it.

" It is not because we did not find any WMD that they don't exist..." I tried that on my bank nmanager to get a loan: " It is not because you do not see big deposits that I don't have big income..." Funny, didn't get the loan.... |

You got to keep in mind another factor is these Iraqi POW's are captured many times from areas where US Soldiers have been ambushed or killed. So the troops handling these guys are pissed the fuck off about losing their buddies and want payback.
Like I've posted before I went through the Vietnam era and a lot of family friends came back with stories so horrific that they couldn't even talk about it without breaking down or going into mental relapses. The US troops were blowing away villages, little kids, napalming people, torturing the Viet Cong prisoners, etc. And the NVC were doing the same thing to the South Vietnamese and our troops. But yeh the Intel guys have no compassion for POW's. Some of the stories I head from Nam veterans that witnessed CIA guys extracting info were as gruesome as anything Saddam did to his people. |

Not a surprise, as if they follow any of the geneva convention out there

The reason no one knows if he was alive or dead is because their was NO rescue attempted made for him, Chenny declared him dead the day after the war started on national TV, his name was not on the Red Cross prisoners list for release, nor was he ever listed as a possible P.O.W. he was however declared M.I.A, from K.I.A not long ago, and the intelligence from both analysis of the crash site, and other events from that night (radio squelch on the pilot emergency radio that was believed to be from an intruder pilot that was downed the same night, but he said he lost his radio) to the items that was returned from Iraq claiming to be remains of Scott (pilot uniform that was to old, 1 pound of human flesh that was remains of someone from iran-iraq war) To prisoners at abu Ghurayb who claimed to have seen him, not to mention that pictures taken of the crash site show human made signs that are similar to ones that pilots are trained to make... etc there is a lot of evidense he was alive after the crash.... |
The military needs to stop allowing soldiers to bring cameras with them. Did they learn nothing from somalia
Soldiers + Prisoners + Cameras = bad press Its simple math. |

This from a person who possibly identified scott with keywords given to him, and repeated to the CIA. You think being a prisoner of Saddams Regime got him a TV, porno mags and 1 hour time on the gym equipment like it does elsewhere? please. |

Criminals transgress international laws ... The "good guys" shouldnt! Those Iraquis will be judge in court... You CANT kill or torture them for fun while they are your prisoners... Alot of people in the army are probably pissed right now at those who just gave them some bad press... :2 cents: |
It really sucks.

This doesn't make Michael "Scott" Speicher a torture victim as you seem to imply, and that that fact would justify the ACTUAL D-O-C-U-M-E-N-T-ED torture of prisonners. The rest is all as said " possible", as possible as Al Mousawi inventing or repeating stuff to get rewards from the US government. Remember, US gives rewards for info, even wrong one leading to unjustified wars. |

I quoted KRL and agreed with KRl on this, I dont care who tortures who. And there are 2 people in mty family serving in Iraq, not sure where you got the idea from what I quoted above. I am all about tortuing some mother fuckers, why are you giving me shit? KRl and I were discussing this awhile back, and he and I both agreed that torture and abuse of course exists, its only logical, not sure again why you feel the need to say what you did. |
i edited it... sry im drunk and didnt read properly hehe im half passed out drooling on my keyboard looking at tranny porn as a matter of fact

You seem to believe the Iraqi's don't torture prisoners of war? let's listen to Andy McNab, British S.A.S agent, captured in Iraq: <I>My blindfold was removed, the "dentist" appeared and said "Hello Andy". He got me to open wide, and gently and reassuringly he peered into my mouth, he sounded sympathetic as he took his instruments from a bag." "open wide again, Andy please" he said in perfect english "oh, dear that is bad, but i'll soon sort it out for you." I had my suspicions, but there was nothing I could do for him, and the gun gripped the first stump of the tooth with the pliers and twisted hard" I screamed and blood gushed into my mouth. "Do you really think we're going to help you" the voice laughed. "Do you really think we're going to help you, you despicable heap of shit? We could just leave you to die, you know - you're so irrelevent to us."</I> This is how you get "Dentist" treatment in Iraq when you're a prisoner of War, and you got your teeth broke with a rifle butt. McNab, and his men that were captured were beaten with poles, hosepipes and rifes, electrocuted, and tortured on a daily basis. How's that for D O C U M E N T E D torture? need some more? |

I tend to read them! The Book is: "Bravo Two Zero" Author Andy McNab (yeah you know the guy who was tortured?) ISBN: 0-440-21880-2 but seeing as you're a click whore, here's an easy to read link of an interview with jeff tice who was likewise tortured as a P.O.W http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/gulf/war/3.html |
