So, a few weeks ago my daughter found out she was accepted to Columbia University graduate school. She is in NYC this weekend checking out the campus, and NYC to see if she could even handle living there for two years. Turns out she loves it.

Well, she got another letter today . . . turns out she has been accepted to UCLA grad school also. So, now she has a choice. Columbia or UCLA.

Columbia is one of the top 10 schools in her field, UCLA probably in the top 20 . . .. a pretty huge cost difference though . .

I used to work for an airport shuttle service. Black guy named Willie (go figure), managed to get his only daughter out of the ghetto and into Harvard. Damn he was fucking proud. I imagine you have the same shit faced grin on you. I am smiling with you bro. I am hoping my honors student 15 yr old daughter has the same gratification for all of her hard work too.

This is when it starts. My daughter was able to take college courses during the summer session while she was still in high school. By the time she graduated high school she had enough college credits to enter UC Davis as a sophomore, and at a fraction of the cost.

3 years later she had graduated UC Davis, and now has her choice of schools to go to for grad school. So it is never too soon, you should talk to her school about these programs. It is well worth it.

When she graduated 8th grade, and went to college in the summer she was really surprised at how easy it was compared to how hard she thought it would be.

You really are proud of her, aren't you? Congrats!
