You ever sued aonother webmaster?

I am just wondering what happen to the porn biz at the moment. Specialy in Germany. A bunch of newbies and "old profs" which even can't spell porn are moving into the bizz. And, because they do not have any clue regarding this biz and do not earn any dime, they started to sue close to every webmaster just to make some bucks.
And now the old guys of the biz are striking back and sue the other old ones. But, ups, that was the wrong direction! Anyhow, they just got some dimes extra in there pocket and moving on with this kidding stuff.

This at the moment happen in the German AWM biz. The main reason for this, is, I guess, the market in Germany totally changed. The dialers are close to be gone (stron regulation), the new law regarding presenting porn makes it close to impossible to stay there and many other things. Or is this just a usual way to adust the market?

How are things moving in your country? Is the biz on the same level? Or does Webmaster are more closer together and working in more or less all there pockets?
Just wondering!

Good question, I haven't seen any discussions about the specific local markets in GFY yet.

I would be interesting to find out how the Dutch, Russian, Swedish market look like. :winkwink:

@polish_aristocrat
As far as I am aware of all Scandinavian Webmasters are working more or less close together and have a good relationship to each other. Reagrding the other folks, I do not know, but it would be intersting to read some response regarding it.

That's the wrong way. First of all people should try to find a other solution for their problems. Asking, talking, ....

Yeah, you're righ. But I know webmasters , which sales dropped down from $40.000 to $1.500 per month. And I believe me, in this situation you will try to find any way to make some bucks extra. But this way is of course the wrong way. So, how to keep the bizz together ?
Have this situation ever happend to any other country? I think in the states they had something simular, but the way how to run the biz there is a little bit different as in Europe, as far as I am aware of.

Can you post the details of some of these lawsuits?

I've heard that some of the German adult companies complain to the government about other companies - turning each other in to try to bring down their competitors, but what are the lawsuits?

MagicJohn 05-01-2004 04:08 PM

@Mr.Fiction
I guess you are mention the little "war" of the main AVS-Systems, right? But, to move in closer in this things and draw down all of the lawsuits regarding doing internet bizz and especialy the porn bizz in Germany will be to much to hahahahaha down here, sorry. And on the other hand, it's soemthing between some "bigger" comps in the bizz. That will always happen.
No, what I have mentioned are the sues and wars between the smaler and little webmasters in the biz. The ones, which never will get in the figures of 2$20.000, $50.000, $100.000 or even a $1.000.000 per months. They are making all lives pretty hard and in my point of view they will do much better if they will work together and not to act as "real" competitors, instead of concentrating to "how to get this guy our of the bizz", because if the other is there or not, that realy doesn't matter and will give no more income at all.
So, again, how is the situation in your country and on your market?
