The Lakers will win if...

only Shaq can drill those free throws... with .295 (FT%), probably the worst in the league.

No doubt Lakers has the Superstar lineups but Spurs is playing intelligent basketball.

Indeed, Especially with what happened last year, the lakers will be hungry.

Kard63 05-01-2004 08:41 AM

he spurs will win in 5. Its not going to be close at all. And I'm glad. Shaq is the only person on there hall of fame team that I like. Karl Malone is a dirty bitch.

Lakers won 3 out of 4 games vs. Spurs in the regular season

which means they "can" beat the Spurs

Lakers will win in 7

after Spurs winning 15 straight games, damn this is a tough assignment for Phil.
Spurs won in six games during last years playoffs, heartbreaker loss for loyal LA fans

:(

Malone gives L.A. an X-factor it lacked a year ago: a big-time shotmaker, passer and principal defender on Duncan. Malone for me is the new heart and soul of Lakers. Sure Kobe has proven himself to be a top notch caliber (aka Jordan) and a made lots of terrific game-winning shots this season. just sweet :winkwink:

Thong Sniper 05-01-2004 09:25 AM

the spurs never have a good winning percentage against the lakers in the regular season. but see, that's why it's all about the playoffs. it'll be one hell of a series but I'm seeing the spurs SWEEP the lakers :thumbsup

you can always count on Kobe( is all but unstoppable) if a game comes down to the wire

bizmak 05-01-2004 10:49 AM

Shaq shoots with .500 ft% and Kobe gets like 25+ every game

bdld 05-01-2004 11:24 AM

this one's going 7 games.. hopefully horry will miss a 3 late in the game and the lakeshow will be victorious.

loverboy 05-01-2004 11:37 AM

food for thought:

Duncan vs. Malone. Two of the game's all-time greatest power forwards meet up for a shot at the NBA title. Duncan must find a way to battle Malone in the post without getting suckered into cheap fouls. On defense, he must help double-team Shaq while not letting the Mailman drift free for those killer 15-foot jumpers. Malone will use all his guile and tricks to keep Duncan off balance. After having given up millions of dollars for the chance to play for an NBA title, the 40-year-old future Hall of Famer is on a mission.

Lakers have no chance. Phil Jackson will forever have one bare finger or thumb. Poor guy.
