My Guess would be C h O O P a and swiftwill as far as the biggest bandwidth pushers. Every big mgp and gallery submitter uses swiftwill and C H O O P A hosts deluxe pass and many other big paysites.

you want best price too, you dont wanna be paying an arm and a leg, for 3000 gigs of bandwidth where you can get it cheaper somewhere else right? like why would i goto jupiter where i can get 3000 gigs of transfer for 300 bucks somewhere else.

Take my company, MojoHost (SinHost), off the list of the biggest companies. Leave on the list of the best, if you will :)

I need to talk to Choker though or get him monitoring some more sites and servers, it looks like they've just got a monitor on 1 or 2 things and off the top of my head I don't know what that was.

How did choker come up with this list? It's the most lame thing I have ever seen. For example, GFY is hosted by Jupiter. GFY's internet connection has NEVER been down. Any GFY outage has been something wrong with our servers or a Denial of Service attack.

I tried to bring this up before in the long thread that was discussed a few months ago when this stupid betterbeup thing was launched. But no one really realised that it is actually very inaccurate and misleading. It says my host has like 5% downtime, my fucking arse it has.

Isprime, Jupiter and Candid are all big hosts.

Well when a server is down, and the server is managed by the host, this counts as downtime as well right?

But I agree, this is not very accurate. Because when I say I'm on isprime, upload the check thing, and then fuck up the file etc, it counts as downtime as well

I would think biggest has to do with who can push the most data the fastest...

I was looking for a host a little while back and jupiter gave me 1.5x higher price than reflected.

I suspect reflected will make this list soon.

I believe the methodology used in Choker's site is that anybody, client or host, can setup an account and list domains or devices to be monitored. So, although the service could be an indication of host downtime that isn't necessarily going to be the case all the time. If someone had server maintenance like a hard drive replacement or something else that was scheduled and that was on the monitor, it would reflect as downtime.

I think the more domains or devices monitored, the more accurate the results would be because it is probably averaging everything together. Similarly, if clients are managing their own servers but doing a poor job at it, some people that sign up for this monitoring service would reflect inaccurately on the host if they were bringing their server down all the time.

Run a search and you'll find quite a lenghty thread about his site. The flaws have been pointed out time and time again. It's a shame some people will make their hosting decisions based on that chart.

Aren't there some pretty big hosts that don't allow adult or are you only talking about adult hosts?

Downtime can be for any reason. It can even be from a very slow router. As far as the remarks about betterbeup being stupid, well over 1000 webmasters are using it to monitor their sites, so it must not be too stupid to them.

Choker, your system is totally flawed...idea is good but unfortunately yours in completely inaccurate...There are many variables to take into consideration when setting up a monitor, when we spoke last via phone I gathered that your systems use about 2% of the necessary variables needed to get an accurate reading that would show that a host WAS actually down....your monitor is a just completely flawed bro...When we spoke last you had an account listed that had cancelled due to the fact that he was not doing well with his sites that he started, you were still monitoring that domain! Common it?s just silly!

No offence choker I think you?re a nice guy but you shouldn't post that crap it's completely inaccurate and unfair to hosting companies listed there...

I'd suggest using a quality monitor such as that takes all or most variables into consideration INTERNETSEER

I would think rackshack would be up there, nat net, candid, rackspace, server matrix.

I would think cavecreek/speedera with all their DRM would be up there as well? Since it is mostly all video, I would assume they have quite a few large clients? Not sure on that though..a lot of people talk drm but i dont really know that many actually using it.
