When BUSH WINS, will there be a CIVIL WAR?

Depending on which votes you count
(or don't), slightly more than half the country will have been foaming at the mouth mad for 4 years....

I mean half the country was pissed from day one that Bush was put into office in the first place.... and then he got to work and whoa! Even more for people to hate and get pissed about.

Now that half of the country is obviously very ready for change.

The powers that be have tried to eliminate the chance of another election 'foul-up' by deploying these closed-source Diebold election black boxes that many people will continue to question the integrity of - regardless of the outcome of the election.

Under the circumstances, I don't see Bush losing.

.... but when he wins, what will happen? :(

SS396chevelleSS 05-01-2004 03:53 AM

he will be shot

Easy answer to the topic title...no. Easy answer to the question...he will be President for another four years.

For a price I'd do about anything
Except pull the trigger
For that I'd need a pretty good cause
Then I heard of Dr. X
The man with the cure
Just watch the television
Yeah, you'll see there's something going on

Got no love for politicians
Or that crazy scene in D.C.
It's just a power mad town
But the time is ripe for changes
There's a growing feeling
That taking a chance on a new kind of vision is due

I used to trust the media
To tell me the truth, tell us the truth
But now I've seen the payoffs
Everywhere I look
Who do you trust when everyone's a crook?

Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Revolution calling you
[There's a] Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Gotta make a change
Gotta push, gotta push it on through

I'm tired of all this bullshit
They keep selling me on T.V.
About the communist plan
And all the shady preachers
Begging for my cash
Swiss bank accounts while giving their
Secretaries the slam

They're all in Penthouse now
Or Playboy magazine, million dollar stories to tell
I guess Warhol wasn't wrong
Fame fifteen minutes long
Everyone's using everyb0dy, making the sale

I used to think
That only America's way, way was right
But now the holy dollar rules everyb0dy's lives
Gotta make a million doesn't matter who dies

Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Revolution calling you
[There's a] Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Gotta make a change
Gotta push, gotta push it on through

I used to trust the media
To tell me the truth, tell us the truth
But now I've seen the payoffs
Everywhere I look

he became president with 500k votes less
now he would be in position to do the same with 1mil votes less

or not?

Tala 05-01-2004 04:35 AM

It isn't the people who vote who elect politicians. It's the people who count the votes. :helpme

Goose 05-01-2004 04:43 AM

bush won't win; It's just that easy :winkwink:

unconnected 05-01-2004 04:45 AM

Why Would there be a CIVIL WAR when BUSH WINS? Your forget THE AMERICAN public are ALL SHEEP, and are TOO FAT and TOO LAZY to get off THEIR ASSES and do anything ABOUT IT. Except for asking STUPID QUESTIONS with the periodic AMOUNT of capslocks in some VAIN HOPE that people will read THEIR POSTS..

Nobody has too much security to get shot, all you need is one crazy with a high powered rifle properly placed at the right time.

marcu5 05-01-2004 05:04 AM

I figure once he gets elected.. Most of his followers will support everything he does because they voted for him until about the 2nd or 3rd year. Then they'll probably have alot of regret because Bush will probably cause something incredibly bad to happen.

I Think he'd be able to do it with 10 mil votes less..

If Bush wins again, I'll have completely lost faith in our voting system. I know alot of people who didnt vote in the first election will be voting for this one.

erehwon 05-01-2004 05:08 AM

Well lets see, the assault weapons ban will sunset in September, and the National Guard who would be patroling the streets during the riots are patrolling the streets in the big sandbox...

Don't get me wrong, I voted for him in the last election, I sure as hell not going to vote for Bush because he'd sic Ashcr0ft into shutting us all down, but I am not impressed with Kerry, I was really looking forward to Wesley Clark as President.

I wish the Libertarians would get a better press agent, Nader gets too much press for what, if Joe Sixpack and Linda Lunchpail knew that there is a political party that was for less taxes, think more people would vote Libertarian? I damn well do! :thumbsup

I think the biggest problem the Democrates have right now is knowing they are going to lose another election, and knowing there wasn't one really solid candidate among them.

And since this country layed back and didn't seem to care about what Clinton was doing, or not doing, after we were attacked during his adminstration - I doubt seriously if there will be much reaction to Bush simply winning again.

Except on GFY where we all know World Leaders drop in to see how the great political minds are sizing things up.... :1orglaugh

And I for one... can't wait till November!

hydro 05-01-2004 05:14 AM

take a lesson from history.

Texas + president = bad news

if history repeats itself bush will be shot in texas.

Agreed. Remember when Clinton was running for reelection. Bob Dole was not a great republican candidate.

The republicans did not want to waste a candidate by loosing to Clinton. Bob Dole was old and given years of service.

The republicans honored him by giving him the nomination and let him run for president, but he was essentially a throw away candidate.

Thats what John Kerry is for the Democrats.

xclusive 05-01-2004 07:04 AM

Bush will pobably win then we will find out years later that his daddy was going around fixing thing for him like he always has.

WarChild 05-01-2004 07:07 AM

Kerry doesn't strike me as very presidential.

No, I think you'll have another 4 years of bush.

painintheass 05-01-2004 07:45 AM

Of course Bush will be president for another 4 years!

But Kerry has a chance at turning it around all he has to do is the following.

1) Promise to invade Iran next. (Americans never really forgot the entire hostage thing)

2) Tell the American public that he will require all visitors to the United States have a microchip placed in their skulls so they can be electronically monitored.

3) Create a snitch line for illegal immigrants and promise that all those caught will be publically flogged for a first offense and exectued for a second offense. (That will send a clear message to those starving bastards in Nicaragua. Unless you have cheap consumer electronics.. Stay the Fuck out of the USA.)

4) Promise to restore American values by creating "re-education" camps for everyone that wants or supports same sex couples. He might even want to include the "Tree hugging hippies."

5) Promise that everyone in the United States will recieve a free firearm of their choice. Afterall, crime statistics go down when everyone is armed to the teeth. (He may want to apply this same approach to Cancer and require all Americans start smoking. He could cut back more health care and use the money to defray gasoline prices.)

Under most circumstances I am not a supporter of war. But in the case of George Bush being re-elected. I think a cival conflict would go a long way to demonstrate the intelligence of the American people.

Pain in the ass
(The opinions expressed by me are not necessarily shared by anyone else and I don`t give a damn.)
