So the gas prices just aren't getting any better

Last night and today, gas prices have reached 94.9/liter in Vancouver.

Dunno what that equates to US prices or anything, but approaching a buck for a liter is just stupid since it was only like, 4 years ago that it was just 39.9.

C_U_Next_Tuesday 04-30-2004 01:13 PM

gas prices in my area are $1.99 to $2.19 per gallon right now.. sucks big balls.. was $1.59 a few months ago:(

LadyMischief 04-30-2004 01:14 PM

That's fucking ridiculous.

marzzo 04-30-2004 01:18 PM

$1.89 / gallon here, not as much as Seattle area though, I hear they're well over $2.

Water works just fine in the tank - try it, I swear it works!!

okny 04-30-2004 01:19 PM

About 2.30 a gallon in NYC doesnt look like it will be dropping anytime soon.

fuzebox 04-30-2004 01:19 PM

And that's just for regular. My old car required 94 octane, which was is 15 cents more.

Sosa 04-30-2004 01:20 PM

cost me $40.50 to fill up my escalade yesterday here in Kneebraska

High Quality 04-30-2004 01:20 PM

Rich 04-30-2004 01:22 PM

They're going to get better closer to the US election, don't you guys read Woodward? God only knows how astronomically high they'll be next winter. :helpme

jact 04-30-2004 01:22 PM

Prices are still at 79.9/litre here for regular, it takes me $65 to fill the tank at that price, I'm dreading higher gas pricess.

Hustler DJ 04-30-2004 01:33 PM

I wish I'd jumped on this one sooner... too bad this sorry fuck isn't doing any mainstream PR (or at least not enough). Just get a couple of TV/radio news channels to promote this in trade for some co-branding and you'd be making a mint...

Diabolical Cord 04-30-2004 01:36 PM

I hope it's under $2 by the time I get back to LA.

CamChicks 04-30-2004 01:37 PM

most of the rest of the world has always payed much more than we do.
(we get the bully discount)

ArikaAmes 04-30-2004 01:37 PM

I know it's nuts. Last week it was $1.99 (U.S). I hate how you have to plan to get gas. If you don't you're gonna end up paying a fortune. I'll go into work and it's like $1.76 and when I get off work it's like $1.89. It's so stupid.

gotta agree there. I live in Florida now and even at $2 a gallon its still much cheaper then I paid back home in Canada.

Elli 04-30-2004 01:56 PM

Prices have been suppressed for too long and are finally levelling off. Other countries pay as much as 5$ a gallon, so we don't have much to complain about.

JDog 04-30-2004 02:10 PM

Average of $2.10/gallon in OC. :( I guess it's good, I only use a tank of gas ever week to week and a half!

Dream on... we haven't seen $2 out here in months, and won't see it anytime soon. Not even at Uncle No-Name's Rocket Quick Fuel Stop, where you know he's mixing it with half water or whatever else...

High Quality 04-30-2004 02:16 PM

Luckily I drive a hyundai that gets around 30mi/gal :)

BradM 04-30-2004 02:17 PM

95c a liter is around $4 per gallon

So quit yer bitching - Canadians have it TWICE as bad.

:glugglug

PurrrsianPussyKat 04-30-2004 02:36 PM

I remember when gas cost .79 a gallon.
Wasn't as long ago as you'd think.. around 1991.

What the hell happened? Oh yeah. Big oil got even more greedy.

Gemini 04-30-2004 02:40 PM

Greenspan just announced the other day that we might as well get used to high energy costs... across the board and that they aren't leaving.

Its the first time I have ever hoped he is really wrong!

I wish someone would figure out how to put a Hybrid or pure electric engine in an Escalade. It's not like SUV's are known for their fast accelleration speeds anyway.

Dopy 04-30-2004 03:39 PM

About time you fat fucks got out of those gas guzlers and walked a little.

reynold 04-30-2004 07:45 PM

Prices will always go up.

myjah 04-30-2004 08:49 PM
