US forces 'withdraw' from embattled Falluja
Aljazeera reported that Marines have withdrawn from Falluja. Anybody else hear about it? We have friends over there so we keep good tap on that.
"Hundreds of people in Falluja have taken to the streets to welcome a former officer of the Iraqi army who has taken control of the city, following a pullout by US occupation forces. " That's not good eh? "People waving Iraqi flags and Iraqi security forces cheered the former officer of Saddam Hussein's Republican Guard Jasim Muhammad Salih, wearing his old army uniform, when he entered the town centre and gave a speech on Friday" I thought Bush's Advisor said it was a "Slam Dunk" Oh, that's not good |
They are just moving out so they dont get splashed with napalm when it hits
|

No they did not pull out they are letting the Iraqi security forces move in and see if they can handle it.
Aljazeera is just a propaganda machine. :Graucho |
Pretty good strategy by the US. Put the Iraqi badguy in charge, let him move in all his people, then wipe them all out in one easy blow.
Reminds me of when the US supply lines were 'cut' during the major fighting - a great trick to lead Iraq army divisions right into our trap, one after another. |
