By legal and clinical definitions, no. And if you consider, 100 years ago and in some cases less, a match between an older man and a 12-14 year old girl was NORMAL and even DESIRABLE. It's NOT abnormal for men to be attracted to youth and vitality.. it IS abnormal for them to go fucking babies.. I think it's wrong. But I'm not going to call a person a pedo unless they are thinking about CHILDREN. It's VERY wrong to stereotype anyone like that. Well apparently half of you are too stupid to realize that the ONLY reason we aren't still all getting married at 12 years old anymore are the miracles of modern medicine. 200, or even 100 years ago, the expected lifespan of the average person was what 50 years? If people wanted to have time to get married, have children, etc etc, they HAD to start at that age. Otherwise, they were too close to being dead to GET a start. Only better diets, access to drugs and medical care that technology has afforded has ALLOWED us to increase the life spans, and remove the neccessity for matches that early on. But for the other 99.9% of human history and evolution, humans started "breeding" at a young age, in order to ensure the continuation of the species. Are you going to say that a few hundred years of medical technology are going to completely eliminate TENS OF THOUSANDS of years of instinct? If you say you don't look at teenage girls, even fleetingly, you are a liar. It is your INSTINCT telling you to look. That one that says "I have to procreate as much as possible as fast as possible". So, are all YOUR ancestors who married 12 year old girls pedophiles too? And if so, what's that say about YOUR history?

In this day and age, yes. Children are much more sheltered now. I certainly wouldn't want my daughters involved with older men at 12. But at the same time, 100 years ago, things were different. The world was a harder place, and the reality is, 12 year old girls were married and having babies. I don't think things should go back to the way they were, but you must realize that by UNDERSTANDING why men look at younger girls (I explained this in an earlier post), it's much harder to justify crucifying men who DO like looking at younger girls. I by no means encourage them acting upon it, but far be it from me to deny them their right to LOOK and nothing else.

Then again, when I was 12 I already had a job aside from school, and I was pretty much running my household.

Oh, and to a TRUE pedophile, no 12 years old is getting to be too old for their tastes.. they like PRE-PUBSCENT children, and by that age, most girls are starting to show signs of sexual maturity.

Who are you to tell them what right they have to think about something? Since when is thought or fantasty in thought something that ANYONE has the right to moderate? ACTING on it is another matter, but there are men who fantastize about being with other men who aren't gay, there are men who fantasize about rape but never do it. I might not like the subjects of thought in some people's minds, but NOBODY can tell them what they have the right to think or look at. When my daughters are older, men will look at them too I'm sure. I won't like it, but I sure as hell can't stop them, nor would I have the right to do so. If they tried to TOUCH them, that would be another matter entirely.
