What was your very first online nick?
and why did you choose it?
Not necessarily a nick here on GFY, but online anywhere.... I was 'Maestro' when I started (I think it was on AOL and possibly carried over to Yahoo) back in like, '94/'95, because I have a passion for Mozart. Still do, but dumped the nick a long long time ago. |

I have always been firehorse. I was born in the Chinese year of the firehorse. We put Mozart on just before we go to sleep and it is the first thing we hear when we wake up. Our daughter was also born to Violin concerto #3 & 4! :)

Wolfesong back in the 90s. Still use it occasionally, depending on who I'm talking with at the time.

Oi Rogers5. It was a song by the wretched ones. Then when I started coding leet aol pr0gz people just started calling me rogers. It kinda stuck. When signing up for GFY I think I was eating chicken or something, because I seriously have no idea why I would call myself cluck.

HyperSoniq (still have that nick on aol).
Chosen for my love of (at the time) Ensoniq keyboards, and stolen from a feature in the shitty ensoniq "magazine" called 'Transoniq Hacker', where they'd give you the specs for a patch that usually turned out to suck ass. |

My first on-line nickname for non-adult was Ladydeth. I used it when I use to chat in the Megadeth chat room years and years ago. It was chosen for two reasons: 1) Because my favorite comic book was/is Lady Death. 2) Osiris thought it would look better if I typed it as "Ladydeth" instead of "Lady Death" since we were talking in the MegaDETH chat room. So I said "cool" and that's the way I ended up using it. :)
My first adult on-line name was Mistress Bathory. I chose this name because I have a huge vampire fetish and enjoy other fetish related things too(like bondage, spanking, etc...) People use to always ask me(and actually some people that are on my ICQ list still ask me) who Countess Bathory is. It's not something I mind explaining to people. On the contrary, I enjoy talking about that sort of thing. But when you get asked the same question sooooo frequently, you start feeling like a broken record. You know? Maybe I just should have wrote out the answer to the question in a note pad or something and saved it so I could just copy and paste it when someone asked, hmm? :Graucho It would have been a lot faster, that's for sure. LOL |
the iceman on AOL because Val Kilmer in Top Gun was the man. i got some publicity and switched to koOLAid with the alt caps as an alt nick to keep it real, yet not :thumbsup

I was always called "Jive" because of the dancing demon inside of me from teenager till presently.. and have never used any other nicks or handle as when you change you look like a tool or your hiding something.., why would I change anything being unique is the true key factor and my nickname is used in the real world as well not just online.. the ones that use different aliases aren't worth reading or remembering anyways be it on this forum or other ones.. all the best *Gone Jiven* :winkwink: |
Mistral. And it was from '93... and even a bit before that when I first got into the bbs scene before there was an internet as we know it today.
