So paypal finally got me and close my account!

What are the alternatives?

brizzad 04-30-2004 08:35 AM

money orders and nothing else

Choker 04-30-2004 08:38 AM

epassporte,yahoodirect,moneybookers
Forget ikobo

Firehorse 04-30-2004 08:39 AM

Moneybookers and epassporte :)

KRL 04-30-2004 08:43 AM

2checkout.com. I've been paying for a lot of services and stuff online and it seems a lot of people are using them now.

Not sure on their policy for adult specifically.

StormPay is another.

KRL 04-30-2004 08:44 AM

Also e-gold.com.

Dirty F 04-30-2004 08:45 AM

Thanks peeps.

emmanuelle 04-30-2004 08:53 AM

2 checkout shut us down for using them on our content site

brand0n 04-30-2004 08:58 AM

brand0ns1stnationlaundryservice.com

DarkJedi 04-30-2004 09:02 AM

epassporte for sure

Slinx 04-30-2004 09:07 AM

Was your email on an adult domain?

=^..^= 04-30-2004 09:08 AM

go with moneybookers:thumbsup

James White 04-30-2004 09:09 AM

I have heard a lot of good things about epassporte, give them a try :thumbsup

foolio 04-30-2004 09:10 AM

did they get any of your money? Whats the story on this?

zzgundamnzz 04-30-2004 09:12 AM

I think Epassporte would be the best alternative to paypal.

Story was like this....

Paypal person find connection to porn...account closed.

End of story :)

JamesK 04-30-2004 09:20 AM

I'd recommend Epassporte.

strobi 04-30-2004 09:20 AM

They are gonna transfer my funds to my bank account.

shaliza 04-30-2004 09:26 AM

2checkout works great for main stream. Someone from this board refered me to them a while ago and I am happy for that.

But for adult.

----------------------
Question:
Are adult websites permitted?
Answer:
We do not accept adult websites that contain nudity, nor websites that sell any product on the list below. We do not permit the sale of any Adult subscription services, chat, or any pornography (pictures, videos, DVDs, magazines). However, you can sell lingerie, adult toys and products of that nature.

You will be required to provide extra business and personal information because adult products are "restricted" by us.

Good luck with your search Battuss

Then could you get someone to contact me about setting up a commerce account? I have filled out the form on the site and emailed rand directly and nobody seems to want to get back to me.

Join the club.

If you were using them for re-occurring billing, there really is no alternative.

tootie 04-30-2004 11:00 AM

I'm surprised so many people are recommending ePassporte. Their service has been 90% worthless to me so far and no one that works for them has attempted to give me any help worth anything. I'll use them only as a very last resort from now on.

Hmmm, I cant seem to find an email from a 'tootie' in my mailbox asking for any help...

Oh well.

AnalProbe 04-30-2004 11:06 AM

Nothing beats Money orders combined with secure/certified postal mail.

shaliza 04-30-2004 11:07 AM

Tootie

Kimmy or I will be more than happy to help you out. Please contact either of us and we will make sure you are taken care of!

I don't have anything from that email address or anything with that in the subject line specifically

Resend now and I'll be more than happy to help you out this morning :)

Incorrect. Your load fee is $5 or 5%, whichever is greater on personal accounts loaded with a credit card. :)

born4porn 04-30-2004 11:16 AM

moneybookers :thumbsup

pradaboy 04-30-2004 11:16 AM

epassporte is pretty much the only solid alternative there is. I haven't tried iKobo yet so I couldn't say.

But basically StormPay sucks and egold is tough to fund/withdraw.

Kimmy, I resent the exact same message that I sent a few days ago. Keep in mind that alot of the stuff in the message doesn't apply anymore, like the bill I needed to pay that day and couldn't. I just wanted you to see what I'd sent before. The problems are still the same, though.

No problem, I will look for it now -- whether it's all relevant or not it needs to be corrected if we're at fault, if we aren't then I need to get you taken care of so we don't have a problem again :)

Go with ePassporte, a lot of sponsors are offering payout by ePassporte, plus they allow adult.

Because you can't. You can, however, start a business account and fund it with a bankwire :)
