Signs sucked. I liked The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable but I don't think you can call Shyamalan one of the "greatest" directors based on two good flicks.

I agree as far as his first two movies go but Signs was lame. The whole water thing was ridiculous. I liked the movie in the beginning when it was dark and creepy but it just didn't hold up.

I couldn't wait to see signs because I liked The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable. By the same token, I am a little wary of any new movie by Shyamalan because Signs rubbed me the wrong way so badly. I haven't checked out the website, though, so I have no real opinion on his newest flick :)

He's a good director, but the word greatest is a slight over statement.

i dont think so... if your work is good, your cinematography is good, story kicks ass, and you keep your viewers tuned in..then you are one of the best

Don't compare Scorsese to the guy who's claim to fame is making "I see dead people" famous. You'll go to hell for that comparison.

his work is good and at least his writing is original and, he plays off the most common emotion fear with originality

it's a possibility, he's only done a few films, and everytime it got better and better. his style is something else, he reminds me of Hitchcock.

The guy is amazing. He has the craziest twist's at the end of each of his movies...not to mention he hahahahahas every movie he directs. He is very talented. Signs rocked, btw :)

Signs damn near put me to sleep. Watching this trailer, it looks like it's the same thing - absolutely no action.

If this guy thinks that putting a wacky twist at the end of every movie makes him brilliant, he's got another think coming. :2 cents:
