Signs sucked. I liked The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable but I don't think you can call Shyamalan one of the "greatest" directors based on two good flicks.

I'm sorry you feal that way... i thought SIGNS was great!

I agree as far as his first two movies go but Signs was lame. The whole water thing was ridiculous. I liked the movie in the beginning when it was dark and creepy but it just didn't hold up.

I couldn't wait to see signs because I liked The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable. By the same token, I am a little wary of any new movie by Shyamalan because Signs rubbed me the wrong way so badly. I haven't checked out the website, though, so I have no real opinion on his newest flick :)

bizmak 04-30-2004 03:52 AM

nice link, but what is all about ? whats the story ?

McKracken 04-30-2004 04:06 AM

The story of the village of Covington, Pennsylvania in 1897 and the horrifying legend of "mythical creatures" that live in the woods beyond the village...

Paul Markham 04-30-2004 04:18 AM

He's a good director, but the word greatest is a slight over statement.

Has he won an oscar or something?

does a director have to win an oscar to be concidered a great director?

does he have to be around, and make alot of movies to be called on of the great?

i dont think so... if your work is good, your cinematography is good, story kicks ass, and you keep your viewers tuned in..then you are one of the best

bizmak 04-30-2004 12:17 PM

Should be nice:thumbsup

Don't compare Scorsese to the guy who's claim to fame is making "I see dead people" famous. You'll go to hell for that comparison.

High Quality 04-30-2004 12:44 PM

Indeed!

kimzar 04-30-2004 12:47 PM

his work is good and at least his writing is original and, he plays off the most common emotion fear with originality

it's a possibility, he's only done a few films, and everytime it got better and better. his style is something else, he reminds me of Hitchcock.

Dveron 04-30-2004 12:48 PM

"Stupid fucking white people."

I think most of you guys will hate the twist he's come up with in this one :Graucho

Rhino22 04-30-2004 12:54 PM

The guy is amazing. He has the craziest twist's at the end of each of his movies...not to mention he hahahahahas every movie he directs. He is very talented. Signs rocked, btw :)

TurboTrucker 04-30-2004 12:58 PM

Signs damn near put me to sleep. Watching this trailer, it looks like it's the same thing - absolutely no action.

gornyhuy 04-30-2004 01:00 PM

Signs sucked ass.

If this guy thinks that putting a wacky twist at the end of every movie makes him brilliant, he's got another think coming. :2 cents:
