Nothing wrong with Corel, it's an excellent program, especially for vector work.

I use Corel Draw since version 3. I forgot how to do lots of stuff because I don't use much anymore, but my father uses it daily.

I started with version 5 back in 96 I believe. Great toolset they had. I use Adobe Photoshop now, which I believe is more powerful overall, but I missed some of the features that Corel made a little easier. Like the gradient transparency tool, for example, was a one or two click procedure.

Most users of Adobe Photoshoop use same plug-ins and effects. And them ready images is very similar.
Corel is flexible and creative programm.

you're comparing it to photoshop..what about the adobe creative suite..

adobe has so many 3rd party plugins available that you need 4000mb ram to start photoshop to use them all LOL

alienskin has the best imo
