Why isn't the word nigger bleeped out on TV?
 

Every other word is bleeped out but that word. Now you know stupid white young kids are gonna watch dave chapelle and start calling people ******s and getting the shit beat out of them:1orglaugh

technically, the word "fuck" is allowed to be used on TV as well. Although I bet no network would dare.... it's all about the context.

You can say "What the fuck" or "fuck that shit". But you can't say "Jack fucked Jill".

I seriously doubt any cable channel would allow someone to say "what the fuck".

Mi media class teacher in HS told us that there is a list of safe-words that you can use after 10pm in any time zone. "******" is one of those words.

Though I remember watchin ROOTS and other historical movies that were filled with that word in Elementary School.....hmmm.

I have met white people who are more of a "******" than anyone. It really wasn't coined as a derogatory term, nor was it meant to be used to describe a certain race of people. People should be treated how they act, regardless of race. :2 cents:

But our family is really devirse. One aunt is married to a retired man of the clooth. So it really makes it hard to tell jokes durring christmas.

yep,the word "fuck" is now ok for tv and RADIO!!! I heard the song "get your hands off my women motherfucker" by the band Darkness played on clear channel radio stations! i'm ok with this new liberal thing.

Yeah, and "Who Are You" by The Who has been played on the radio for years.

They say "Who the fuck are you" a few times in the song.

I have heard the retort "there are white ******s" for years by people wishing to "legitimize" the word (or perhaps they are just clueless). I have never heard someone call a white person a ****** outside of a "chummy" context. If a white person cuts you off in traffic are you going to yell, "Hey, ignorant ******!"? No, you are going to yell, "Hey, you stupid fuck!":1orglaugh

In all honesty, it depends on their attitude. One of my best friends is black, and we've had many discussions about this type of thing.
