Just bought a Z71 yesterday
 

Went to test drive a Land Rover before I bought this one which I didn't like.
For that class of SUV's I think the Z71 is way up there. For me, it's the best of them all.
Been with Tahoes' for five years now.

I've always wondered, what's the difference between a Z71 and the standard Tahoe??

the Z71 has a sport off road suspension

The upgrades.
Z71 s about 45k+, standard Tahoe is about 34k.
I ended up adding a new sound system as well to it.
Some of the Z71 upgrades are it's offroad package, all seats (7 of them) to bigger and more comfy seats, and lots of other little things.

I had a Z71 package Sierra (1999) as a work truck until one of the dipshits at work wrote it off. The idiot was doing 80 and decided to read his map to find out where he was going. Rear-ended a blazer stopped in his lane with a flat tire and hazard lights on.

Not sure.. I guess about 7-8 mpg. Had to fill up the tank every two-three days but that's also because I lived in TX back then and driving between places takes a while.
