How are your sales? What is going on?

what the fuck is up? what happened to the sales? the rest of you still having this problem too? I know I posted this last week, but I have NEVER saw anything like this last period. What in god's name is happening? Traffic is exactly the same with a 80% drop off in sales????

b00bies 04-28-2004 10:12 AM

you've had no dropoff in sales the last 2 weeks?

RP Fade 04-28-2004 10:16 AM

Thankfully, we're still doing well :thumbsup

Which processor are you using?

bdld 04-28-2004 10:18 AM

everything's doing fine man, start tweaking things up a bit.

Sly_RJ 04-28-2004 10:18 AM

Things have been steadily growing at Skin Traffic. Everybody hits "bad patches", that's probably what you're running into...

TheFrog 04-28-2004 10:19 AM

going up daily here :glugglug

Tuna 04-28-2004 10:21 AM

no, ive had bad patches, i calculate that into my business plan - the beginning of summer , college letting out, etc.
this is insane what's happening here. some of you may not have been in the business long enough to have solid numbers and stats for month to month year to year..

all my sponsors are 100% ccbill

Sosa 04-28-2004 10:23 AM

try some sponsors that don't use ccbill then.

Eh, nothing against CCBill but I wouldn't trust all of my income with them.

I try to focus on one niche/sponsor, but always drift a little bit for diversification. Try some sponsors using Epoch or cascade billing systems. Cascade billing systems are always my favorite because as a webmaster it makes things really easy. I don't have to worry about switching out links because of temporary processing problems, the sponsor can easily switch processors with a couple button clicks.

Listen to sly... he knows.

We were just discussing this last night...
I've been bitching and complaining that i'm at a total plateau with basically 100% ccbill sponsors. I haven't dropped off, just plateaued and that is 100% laziness on my part - But I CAN say that conversions have been very solid and consistent even in the last two weeks.

Everything ebbs and flows. :2 cents:

welcome to the plateau! I've been there a long time. Yes, there is ebb and flow but what's happening here is a statistical anomaly. I have had my worst 2 week period since 1999 when I was a total newbie. The two week period before that was above average.

cyberpod 04-28-2004 11:39 AM

hmm... my ARS #'s are down since the change but not by that much... ccbill sales have been really good the last few weeks but this week seems a bit sluggish... got me man... try pushing "blonde midget huge cock tranny amputees" :Graucho

It's been said but there's part of the problem. Different processors scrub harder at different times, sometimes whole perios being hit hard. Mix and match a bit and you'll get FAR fewer ups and downs.

Huggles 04-28-2004 12:28 PM

:( April has been a little slower for me over everything I promote.

DWB 04-28-2004 12:36 PM

I agree with not trusting 1 company with all your money and I'm torn between Epoch and Jettis for another processor. Anyone have comments on either of them?

ClockWise 04-28-2004 12:36 PM

dropped from 1:450 to 1:810 on tgp traffic :(

sexpress 04-28-2004 12:50 PM

we are growing

[dfo] 04-28-2004 12:52 PM

the beginning of this month was slow with ccbill, but the past 2 weeks have picked back up for me...

Martin 04-28-2004 12:53 PM

Slow yesterday and so far today. Really slow.

I already asked but I'll ask again, do you know of any reputable "free trial " AVS that doesnt use ccbill?

WarChild 04-28-2004 01:00 PM

You must have had a month that was statistically WAY above average at some point. Your best month. This is the other end of that scale.

I've been in this buisness roughly the same ammount of time as you. I experienced my WORST ever month in January. 60% below average .. I had the same thoughts as you did.

Sales came back up to average and I wrote it off. Maybe this is happening to you?

ajthegreat 04-28-2004 01:37 PM

Same here, slow as hell this month with almost the same traffic. I get a lot of type in traffic too, so I don't know what the problem is :(

BradM 04-28-2004 01:38 PM

Sales are AWESOME today. Sell pills fool!
