Question: Compressing sound files

I need an app that compresses spoken word sound files. No music. Just spoken word audio.

I think hahahahahahas Sound Recorder will do it. Otherwise WinAmp. If all else fails, use SoundForge.

Will the end result be as big as music mp3s? Im shooting for way smaller files since these are just voice files.

I meant W-indows M_edia P_layer. It is 1/2 the size of an MP3

It depends on the bitrate and length and things like that. If it's just a voice file with a few seconds of talking, it won't be big at all. :2 cents:
