Program for bath renaming files

I use acdsee to batch rename files for galleries. for example it takes all the picture files in order and renames them 1.jpg - 16.jpg, etc. is there any other programs that do this? mabye a program that will do the same but multiple folders? acdsee is crashing on me now every time i try doing it.

I've got a good one, if you want it let me know, it's a custom made one

Either Jergens or Mr. Bubble would have to be putting out the best bather proggies... I never timed them to see which lasts the longest as far as bubbles... But Jergens smells better. ;-)

We've used renameit and the acdc before. Not in the large quantities of files it sound like you want to do tho.

You might check if you are going to be renaming sponsor content... some didn't used to allow that. :glugglug

I use a program called Better File Rename. and it works great. although dont think its freeware

studio 04-28-2004 07:07 AM

Hi,

Try going into acdsee and go to Tools,Database and Maintance. Do that to clean the program up and I think your problem will go away.

Good Luck,
Denny

Infranview is a great little program but you can't simply highlight files, right mouse click and rename. Not the version I got anyway. I've tried pretty much every so called batch renamer out there, and shelltoys is the best! Try the demo out...

Helix 04-28-2004 07:28 AM

Have you tried <a href="http://www.xnview.com">XnView</a> ?
It's freeware as well.
