FETISH SITES - Where should I draw the line?
Over the course of my 5 years of selling on eBay I've encountered the most bizzare fetish - Guys who enjoy buying used running shoes for obscene amounts of $$$. I'm talking about $20-30 for shoes that are destroyed and smell like crotch.
I've gladly listed my old shoes that have been constantly bought by the same group of people over and over...I know about five of them by name as they email me once a month about what shoes I'm currently wearing. Now here's the catch... I asked one of them if I should open up a website selling shoes direct - Think of it as a twisted "panty site" where some chick sells her used undies, instead I get people to buy me new shoes to wear and sell them back to them once I'm done "breaking them in". He thought it was a "fucking amazing" idea and would love to see it... Now I'm kinda at a strange spot - I'm a guy, and have no problems with selling stuff on eBay once a month, but I think if I crossed over into a fetish arena that caters exclusivly to dudes who get off on stinky shoes I won't be able to...take myself seriously. What should I do? Open the site and throw caution to the wind? People pay insane $$$ for this shit. |
Thats fucking weird.
Hmmmmmm. How much money are we talking about here? |
Hmmmmm...discovering a relatively untapped fetish market and catering to it, making tons of cash... Why wouldn't you be able to take yourself seriously exactly? Sounds like the entrepreneurial spirit to me :)

To be made? I've always sold my shoes using Buy-It-Now within 2 days of the auction listing, so there is pretty good demand - I always had them up realitivly cheap.
If I had guys sending me new shoes every week, I suppose once I wear them for a month or so I'd be making $150-200 a week...Pocket change, but the folks I've been in coorespondence with said they'd buy shirts, socks, etc. Really fucked up stuff....I laugh when I read the emails, but you gotta respect someone who'll take your trash off of you for $$$. I'd love for someone to design me a proper site if I ever decided to do this...It'll freak me out when some guy tells me to please jerk off in his shoes. |
You might make a bit more money with a site but you will still be limited. You can only sell so many shoes, undies, shirts, etc a month. :2 cents:

Just hire shoe stinker uppers. I'll shit in mine for you. |
If there's a big market as you said, go for it.
Not very smart to post it here though. Best of luck |
Do it, if you want to broker any of my old smelly trainers let me know.

You tell them you are a guy or a girl?
|
crazy

|
Go for it...you have the option of expanding not only to other used clothing but also other people's clothes down the line...
|
Hmmm... fetish sites... I shot for Necro Babes a bit and it was really fun but having to lay in a coffin was definitely very strange. Sometimes it's just the objects that may draw a line for someone rather than the actsof fetish.

why dont u just continue selling them on ebay? lots of people make a living selling just about anything there.

Pre007, think of it from my philosophical point of view. If something raises the general economic welfare of both parties then do it.
In your case your economic welfare would be raised because you are receiving payment, in the form of cash, for your labors. The buyers welfare is raised because he is satisfying his foot fetish in exchange for money. Also importantly, if the buyer is willing to pay for it, he is most likely going to find a way to aquire used shoes even if you did not create the market. He might steal someones shoes for example. It sounds drastic but it happens. If you think about it your performing a social service. Well, maybe not, but you are making money and not hurting anyone, so whats the problem. |

2. If the supply equalled the demand, this guy wouldn't be begging him for more stank shoes. No? |
I'm a guy, and these are other guys buying my shoes...
You can imagine my comfort level is pushed pretty far when I'm opening up a site that will be using my odd form of "sexual appael" to cater to a gay (are they even gay?) clientele. If for some reason someone I knew discovered my identity, I'd be a lot tougher to explain a gay-shoe-fetish site than it would my comparably wholesome straight-TGP. I think a site would generate a lot more interest than just eBay...I'd get a much larger following (great...) |
Smart thing to do here is start an affiliate program....
Pay all the stinky footed webmasters here $5.00 for there old nasty ass shoes and resell them for $20-$30 bucks sounds like easy bling to me! |
