We've run for 3 years with out it.

Haven't needed it yet. but the new office space requires it.

While shopping around, we mentioned that we were a web company. Agents come right and say, "we don't insure porn, it's not porn, is it?"

So, who do you guys go through?

You are an online consulting company. You just happen to have clients that are in the adult business.

BrettJ 04-27-2004 01:16 PM

we appreciate the help.

But we like to run our company on the up and up. We shoot content. The stuff that we shoot isn't against the law.

and we know there must be firms that do insure companies (like pornkings, hustler, sweet entertainment).

We've actually talked with the guys that insured sweet ...and are waiting to hear back from them.

Keep the suggestions coming.

it'd be helpful - if you have contact info - and if you can tell us if you are personally insured by the company - and KNOW for a fact they don't have a problem with adult companies

Since your actually producing content it is going to be tough. The concern would be liability for injuries to models and stuff along those lines. About the only think I know to tell you is to forget about State Farm, Allstate and so on. Go to one of those independent agencies ( the biggest one you can find) and have them try and find a policy for you.

If you were in my neck of the woods I would tell you to give these guys a call:

http://www.creativeunderhahahahahars.com/index.htm
(do a google search for ?creative underhahahahahars? the forum messed up the URL )
There site says brokerage accounts in all 50 states so maybe they could at least hook you up with someone that can insure your kind of risk. Another place to look would be a local mutual insurance company if you have any that operate in your neck of the woods.
