Thanks! :thumbsup |
my parents went there a couple years ago. they said it was a very friendly place, and i elieve they rented a jeep to tour some of the sand dunes and beaches. it was a good time all in all.

I love Aruba!!! They have places that let you rent a jeep and 4X all over the island. You can go in a group or on your own. The terrain is very desert like. They average 1 day of rain a year.
The water is clear and beautiful. You can see ship wrecks hundreds of feet out in the water . on a clear day you can see Venezuela from the south beaches. That is the part that is calmer waters because it is connected to south america by a plate. The northern beaches have much more choppy turbulent water not so great for snorkling. It can be overcast a lot so wear sun screen. I got burnt pretty bad on a day where I couldn't even see the sun. If you like golf, they have a great course. Curacao is another island about 25 miles away that is great for caribbean food and shopping. You can take a heliocopter, mud skipper or boat to get there. I think it was under Danish rule at one time so the main town, Willemstad, looks like an old danish or dutch city. They also have the famous Curacao liquor there. It is blue in colour and has an orange flavor that mixes well with coffees and chocolates and is great to add to vanilla cake. Have fun! |

Aruba is beautiful! The weather is very warm, but with the natural trade winds the island has a natural air condition, so it tends to be quite windy. There is rarely any rain and it is out of the hurricane chain. And there is really no crime there, so you can actually venture out into the life of civilians there without having to worry about being robbed etc.
The scuba diving is really awesome too, they have a few old german boats there, and a coral reef. Stasia Styles |

Aruba Sonesta Suites is awesome. Stylish smaller hotel. Right on a secluded white sand beach and includes free access to a PRIVATE ISLAND via speedboat (with a topless beach). There are 2 casinos in walking distance including the best one in town. Here are some pics of my exgirl on the private island
