Anyone ever hurt your rotator cuff?
Screwed up my shoulder somehow yesterday or the day before (no ide a how) and now I can barely lift it without bad pain.
Anyone of shoulder injuries out of the blue like that before? Typing with 1.5 hands sort of sucks. How long does it take to heal usually? |
I've damaged mine several times, but from throwing....you might have slept on it wrong. Rubber band exercises help. Go get some and work it out.

Every once in a while it feels good, but most of the time it is fucked. I feel your pain bro... They take a long time to heal... |
I did mine a while ago playing basketball and every now and then it still feels aggrevated. It's a bitch. Strech it and light excercise on it once it fels a bit better but it will be a few days usually before it'll feel normal again.

Thanks for the info guys. Going to try to make a Dr's appointment for tomorrow I guess. I have some of those exercise bands around here so maybe I'll try to stregthen my shoulder a little with them once its healed up a bit. The messed up part of this is I don't remember injuring it at all. |
Mine took 7 years to heal
Fucked it up after I was in the Army for year.... it hurt the rest of the 6 years I was in, and for a year after. Could never let it rest long enough to get better because it takes so long to heal. And if you sleep on the side thats fucked up, it just makes it worse :2 cents: |

I popped it out once in my sleep at 4 in the morning. :( As soon as I graduated I had the surgery to tighten it up. |
I hurt mine standing on tech. chair (with wheels) replaceing a light bulb took months and months 2 heal. I couldn't pick up an empty cardboard box and hold it straight out front of me.

i feel for you, as rotator cuff injuries are absolutely no fun at all. i had an accident and tore my rotator cuff. basically, i dislocated my clavicle and during the dislocation it ripped the cuff as well. i have had bunch of injuries, but i have to say the rotator was among the most painful. not only that but the healing curve is not quick. most important thing you can do is keep it immobile (ie: sling).
i definitely suggest a visit to the doctors office as they will be able to access it accurately. unfortunately, surgery is often required. i hope not in you're case, and i will hope for a speedy recovery. |
I injured mine sparing with my buddy, a few years back. It has never been the same since, it set me back on really heavy training for a few weeks. I reinjured it again after a long layoff and tried to go back too hard and fast, it put me out again for 2 months that time.
good luck with your recovery |
7 - 10 days of u rest
|
Yes i had to end going thru months of rehab. After that I had to have surgery. Than more months of rehab. Good Luck
|
I'm in rehab for it right now, along with a partially detached right bicep and a slap tear on my labrum.
when someone gets you in an armbar, TAP OUT!! :1orglaugh |
