Any Sony Vegas users on today that can help me...
 

...find the option or setting for cutting up a lrge file into smaller segments? I know how to "S" them but I don't want to re-render everything. There has to be a way to just slipt them up with a script or something.

I know it can be done, just haven't figured out how to dumb down the software. I've tried other things from other boards but evrything else requires re-rendering. :(

Thanks, but we are trying to find a way to do it within Vegas, not a 3rd party program.

I've been using Vegas for over 3 years now and to my knowledge there is no way of splitting/cutting or doing ANY change inside of Vegas without rendering it again for final output.

Why not go for a simple splitter? They're fast and easy to use.

After spending $800.00 on this shit I expected such a simple tool to be available. I have a splitter program also, but I wanted ot be able to do it all in one app, that's all.

What he said is your only way to go.I split vids this way all the time. vegas WILL NOT do this.

I'd reccomend investing in Premiere next time if you are running PC. Vegas is a shitty editing tool.

I have Premiere also, I like Vegas more because of the interface. Differences of opinion.
