polish_aristocrat 04-25-2004 06:14 AM

i think life ends at 40 :(

Peaches 04-25-2004 06:50 AM

I don't know if it STARTS at 40, but I've been enjoying it more and more every year :) Though it's funny - I look back on my 20's and early 30's and wonder "What the HELL was I thinking??!" :1orglaugh

cool1 04-25-2004 06:52 AM

If there is I am still looking for it.

sexsup 04-25-2004 06:58 AM

Life starts when you want it starts

Firehorse 04-25-2004 06:58 AM

I haven't reached 40 yet. I think it is just a number.

Life and every moment is what you make it!

It's the life in your years that counts, that's all that matters! :2 cents:

kmanrox 04-25-2004 07:04 AM

i hope it does, cuz in 12 years ill be there... if i dont die sooner

40 is a real sexy age
men get to 40 - have a midlife crisis and feel they have to 'prove' they are still young and virile
men that age fuck liek rabbits

Im looking forward to FH turning 40 :Graucho (not that i've any complaints now)

kowntafit 04-25-2004 08:19 AM

Yeah I thik it ends too. They just say it doesn't so oldies don't start to feel bad. :(

Rochard 04-25-2004 08:36 AM

I'm 35 years old and I'm having the time of my life. I have a little bit of everything, all in moderation.

There is an upside to being *over the hill*

Usually you own the hill :)

I expect to be having a great time after 40. I don't see why it would slow down. If things continue to go right, I'll just have more time for traveling and enjoying the splendor that is life.

You take on a whole new perspective on things when you hit 40.

I would say yes life does start again after 40 because you feel like OK I've got this whole thing down pat now and it makes you feel wiser, freer and more confident.

You have more peace of mind. You become really into building stuff that will last beyond when you leave. Relationships have a different meaning. You don't jump into them for just the sex element. Most people get really into raising a family by then. You think of others way more.

The main thing that gets you is your health. You realize how important being healthy is and a lot of people wish they hadn't fucked up their bodies with smoking, drugs, and other vices when they were young, because now the results of doing that start to show. Most people gain weight and start to lose their hair. So you have to come to terms with your appearance not being youthful anymore. After a while you just say fuck it, I am what I am and don't worry so much about how you look older cause you simply can't compete with the young people no matter how hard you try.

Its great though. I'm much more happier now than when I was in my 20's and 30's. So don't worry about.

The funny thing is before you know it you'll be there. The 30's especially go by really fast.
