$700+ tax after rebates if your looking for something on the cheap end.

comes out to around $750 after rebates with taxes im not a fan of emachines but for the price you cant do better.

Jenn,

Since you haven't given us a budget besides something cheap with Canadian dollars, I recommend looking at IBM Thinkpads,

Here's one on eBay for $599 U.S.D. plus shipping
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...6692 590&rd=1

Plenty of speed, all the goodies you would want, and the remainder of the factory warranty

I really like the Thinkpad's as they have the best keyboard, and that is important if you are going to spend a great amount of time using one, or using it as your dedicated computer.

Good Luck! :thumbsup

I just bought a Dell Inspiron 5150 for $1400 US, it's pretty nice. I've never owned anything that wasn't a Dell.

Choice go-l.com, nice laptops.

Digipimp 04-25-2004 02:16 AM

Get an iBook, you can find an American friend to get one shipped to you and you'll get a real cheap price and the iBook kicks ass.
